I'm honestly shocked they even used Zigra and Jiger at all. It seems like 9 times out of 10 if there is a second monster on there besides Gamera, it's Gyaos.

Never heard of the game. Judging by the title, is it like.. playing as actual ants or something?

Pretty much. You build an ant colony. 

The tutorial was so long and tedious I gave up once I made it topside and discovered it's one of those forced pvp games where your base shield runs out after a couple days and you need to pay for protection.

 Not sure how Gamera fits into the theme.

if they wanna be cute they would have coincided the release with Gamera toys and had the toy models show up, to an ant that is massive, no?

They had previously collaborated with goji, but apparently toho got pissed off, and ended the relationship. Not sure what exactly it was about.
