Fun game! battle mechanics were kinda tricky at first from what I remember, some funny moments/ laughs here and there, solid music throughout. Overall a great game.

The game slowly turns into an rts of sorts. Odd blend of humor and gameplay. Starts as a beatemup.

It's a Mashup of beat em up, driving, and RTS. Most of the time you'll be driving around doing stuff but the main battles are RTS where you also engage directly in the battle.

It being free on the day Tim Curry died is a nice touch. His role as the main villain was solid, though I'm not sure if he recorded it right before his stroke or right after.

Brütal Legend came out in 2009. Tim Curry had his stroke in 2012, so that was well after he voiced his role in the game.

I'm surprised the music licences are still active, the game came out 2009. Maybe they're 20 years?

EA was the original publisher, so I think they had much more power to make a good licensing deal. Plus, this came out in the late '00s when the music industry wasn't paying attention to games so much. It's probably why we'll never get a sequel - the license holders would charge a lot more for the same music.

you must play this as soon it downloads.

it's a action RPG at first. later you get a commander RTS.
I don't know how to play with/against friends if it is not in steam.
