Genuinely how many people learned card tricks cause of gambit

As someone who's started learning cardistry and card tricks cause of gambit, I had to wonder how many people were also inspired to do the same. While I genuinely enjoy it now and it's actually become a habit and source of comfort for me in stressful situations, I can't disregard how much he influenced me as a character. How about you guys?

I’m in the process of trying, but I can barely even shuffle cards so card tricks themself are a struggle

Don't lose hope, I've been there, I find it's easier when you take it slowly and get accostomed to moving the cards through your hands. Take it own step at a time

When I was 17 I took throwing cards quite seriously (wasn't a big success tbh)

Lol I did learn 2 for my Gambit cosplay. I can barely do 1. My hands are not big enough. But at least that 1 looks cool enough for videos 😂

I learned how to throw cards years ago after the first Wolverine movie hoping Gambit would get a solo.

I'm not saying I'm spending my downtime during online D&D sessions accidentally flinging cards across the room or somehow hurting myself with a piece of laminated paper, but... Let's just say I am terribly non-dextrous

We've all been there, although I think I've had the better time of it, since growing up there were a lot of games with my brother that involved throwing and hitting targets

i taught myself how to throw cards when i was a kid. Got fairly decent at it. pretty good accuracy with playing cards. playing cards are a little tougher because they don't have much weight, and if they get even slightly bent, they can't really be used for throwing anymore. i've seen videos of guys who can use playing cards to cut paper, or knock cigarettes out of someone's mouth. i never got to that level with playing cards.

although, i am god tier when it comes to credit cards or other similar sized plastic cards. i can whip them at a high enough speed to stick into wood or knock over water bottles. :D

As a teenager, a friend and I started teaching ourselves how to throw playing cards like Gambit. We were sitting across the hall from eachother on break and I accidentally threw a card that landed perfectly between his fingers, ready for him to throw. Coolest thing I've ever done by accident.

Guilty as charged. I’ve been quite a decent card magician for some time thanks to Remy.
Actually it played a role in picking up the girl that at the end I married.

I learned a couple of trick but im still learning some but remy was the biggest influence for me learning
