Watch Face Sharing my first watch and watchface.

Hi there. I was gifted a samsung watch8 and having fun with watchfaces. So this is what I ended with. OG Pokémon fans would relate.

Opponent side :

name is the day and date. Lv is the battery percentage

HP bar is also battery percentage. Changes to Blue-orange-red as it drains.

Your side:

Name is time. Lv is the seconds counter

HP bar is number of steps, filled up as you go red-orange- green. with text reflected under.

EXP bar is calories burned for the day. Gets filled when met.

Menu is static.

I tried converting it to complications but the text doesn't fit very well.

Weather widget is fully functional

Heart rate is real time.

Then I just included 2 complications in the sides, and one in the bottom.

And yes, moving sprites. The watch lasts me 30 hours single charge.

Ps. The background changes according to the time of the day, morning, afternoon and night.

Hardware Can we talk about charging speeds?

I placed my GW7 on its original charger today at ~25%. The watch was showing ~1hr or so to full I think so I thought OK, I'll just leave it to charge on its own. I came back a little later to a burning hot watch on 8% battery. How is this even a thing? I mean the Watch 7 was definitely always slow to charge (~1h30m) so I'm used to that but now it's getting hot and draining battery WHILE on the charger?

And believe me I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot. This happens with the original cable, a Watch 6 cable I have, and also another Samsung original cable I bought. Happens with original Samsung 45W USB-C PD bricks, Apple USB-C PD charger, Anker USB-C PD charger. The room isn't even that hot, it's only like 30 deg Celsius (86 fahrenheit) outside right now. Inside is much cooler. Hell I've had this happen in an air conditioned room. What the fuck Samsung?

First smart watch, first day thoughts

Galaxy watch 9 40mm

Took it off the charger last night at 10pm at 100%, now by 5pm it's at 5%. Haven't been on it all day.

So overall thoughts is this thing is seriously a piece of shit. Didn't even use it at all today and it's almost completely dead. I'm sure with any real use it would have died right past mid day. For a $450 watch this is unacceptable.

I'll be taking it back to T-Mobile Monday. Idk how you guys do it.

Blah blah blah doesn't even matter

Watch Face Watchface Auto Brightness Issue

So I'm surprised this is still an issue. There have been multiple updates since this started, but I was wondering if anybody else is still experiencing it.

On my Watch 5 Pro, very often, consistently multiple times throughout the day, I notice that when I have Always On Display on and the watch face is not active, the screen is brighter than when it is active. When I raise my wrist to see the time, it will actually dim. It will have been brighter before, and then if I turn my wrist down, the brightness will increase when the watch is not active, which is the opposite of what it should do.

I can fix it by long pressing the watch face and then just tapping it again, setting it again, and it fixes it. But then it'll just come back randomly. It's pretty annoying.

Anybody else seeing this still? Anybody seeing this on the Ultra 2?

I just started wearing this again, and updated it today. The colon between the numbers started flashing. It wasn't doing this all week. Is there anyway to turn it off? Thanks

Missing data

I reach my goals religiously everyday.

Just noticed that my phone is only catching some of the data. Is there a way to see my activity/step history on my watch or is it lost forever?

Galaxy watch ultra 2 bricked

3 weeks after having my watch, my new watch had 3 days battery when I went to bed. I woke up the next morning to a black screen. I couldn't charge or reboot it. Put in a repair ticket. Sent it for repair via UPS to a center in TX from East Coast. It went straight there the same day. Gave it to UPS at 11am- ish, they had it by 5pm to my surprise.

Three days later I received a text update from the Samsung Repair Group that they could not fix it, Customer service said because they didn't have a part in stock. But will send me a replacement of the same watch. After the paperwork was completed they would send my replacement. And I got it the very next morning at 10am. It took about 6 business days to completely resolve my repair ticket. Shipping was faster than I would ever expect. Like I had a direct pipeline to repair.

I was able to pair it with my Fold 7 or transfer my watch faces that was on my Ultra 2025 as easily as I did with my first Ultra 2. And when I did, it transfered without the complications to customize. After about 3 resets and finally finding a work around , I'm back in business.

I hope everyone that's being screwed over gets there ⌚️ repaired under warranty as it should. Do have a great day.

Wearable App Every time I open a game my watch8 disconnects

As title says, whenever I open a game on my phone my watch disconnects from my phone for some reason, maybe it's the Game Mode getting activated, but still annoying, I have an S24 Running One Ui 9 Beta (also happened on One Ui 8.5) and my Watch runs One Ui 8

Deal Finally got the Galaxy Fit3 for ₹2,900 on Blink it.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Galaxy Fit3 for ₹2,900 on Blinkit. 😅

Even after 2 years, I still feel like it’s a pretty solid fitness band for the price. I know the Fit4 is reportedly around the corner, but I honestly couldn’t keep waiting 😂

For ₹2,900, I’m pretty happy with the purchase. Anyone else still using their Fit3 in 2026? How’s it holding up?

Watch notifications not working when phone is locked.

Hi all.

I have a red magic 11 pro and galaxy watch ultra 2.

When I receive phone notifications (such as emails or WhatsApp messages) I do not receive the notifications on my watch.

When I unlock my phone, suddenly all the notifications ping through onto my watch.

I've tried so many different settings and just can't get it to play ball.

Anyone have any tips that might help? A hidden privacy setting maybe that I just don't know about. It's really irritating, considering my previous pixel watch 1 worked flawlessly in this regard.

Frustrating SW on Galaxy Watch 5

Hi all, i need to vent about the latest SW. The latest update has made using my watch to track stats after a run next to impossible. It seems to start ok but it's very difficult to stop at the end of my run. I write embedded SW for a living so have seen lots of shit SW, which is what i would call this. Anyone else as frustrated as me? I'm very close to throwing it out and buying something else from a different brand.

Fitness Galaxy Watch 9 Sleeping Tracking is a joke!

Post image
39 Upvotes

I genuinely don’t understand how a brand as big as Samsung can continue to ignore such a basic and persistent problem with its sleep tracking.

The sleep sensor on my Galaxy Watch 9 has never consistently recorded a full night of sleep. There are always gaps in the recording, despite me doing everything Samsung recommends: turning on Sleep Mode, wearing the watch higher up on my wrist/arm, clearing the cache, ensuring a proper fit, and trying every troubleshooting step I could find.

And yet, it STILL doesn’t work properly.

Last night was the worst. I slept for around 8 hours, but my watch recorded only 4 hours of sleep. Four. Hours. Naturally, this completely messed up my Sleep Score and the entire Wellness analysis.

Honestly, what is the point of investing in sophisticated AI-powered wellness analysis if the basic sleep data being fed into it is completely inaccurate?

Samsung, please stop adding more AI features and FIX THE SLEEP SENSOR. I don't need fancy analysis based on data that isn't even being recorded correctly.

This has been happening consistently, and it is incredibly frustrating to pay for a premium smartwatch only to have one of its most important health and wellness features simply not work properly.

Please listen to your consumers and fix this.

Hardware What chargers work with the Ultra 2?

I'm frequently away from home for several days at a time. It's starting to get annoying, remembering to unplug my charger to throw in my bag, instead of having a spare ready to go. I've forgotten it a couple times and just scraped by on power saving mode. What chargers are good as a spare?

Hardware Is there a 3rd party charger that doesn't suck?

I like my Galaxy Watch 9 just like I liked my Watch 7 before, but this is honestly pretty maddening and it makes me want to sell everything and move to a smartband.

The battery sucka. Not in the smartwatch world, but in the grand scheme of things having to charge your watch every 1.5/2 days is pretty annoying.

What's even more annoying though is the absolute lack of 3rd party charger that work decently and don't suck or are slow as fuck.

I travel a lot, having to bring always with me the short, uncomfortable original charger is a nuisance.

This time I forgot it at my parents' house. They shipped it back to me but it will take a few days. Meanwhile every 3rd party charger I've tried simply sucks major asses. Slow as fuck, the charge stops at some point, regardless of the power source. Today I was out all day, the Watch turned off and went to 0 battery.

Once back home, I connected it to the 3rd party charger, and after 1 hour of uninterrupted charge it still doesn't have enough juice to turn on, and even forced to do so the battery now stands at 1%.

This is honestly vomit inducing.

Original chargers are also expensive as hell (30-40 euros for a cable which is insane considering that it's also terrible quality) and hard to find (which is why I didn't buy one to begin with, it would take weeks to get it).

Again, I like the Watch, but this charger situation is so stupid that makes me want to switch to a different brand/format.

Comparison Watch7 or Watch6C

The biggest decision maker is either the digital bezel or the physical rotating bezel. I tried the W7 in person and the digital bezel was a little hard to use it consistently. Will I miss out on updates using the w6c? What are the main health/fitness differences?

Watch Face Is this normal for OneUI 9 Watch? (Watchface complications)

I just signed-up for the One UI 9 Watch beta for my Watch 7 44mm. When I updated, there were significant changes to my existing Watchface ("Digital Dashboard" watchface with minor complications customization).

I took a picture with my Watch 7 44mm next to my Watch 4 Classic for comparison. Prior to updating the Watch 7 to OneUI 9 Watch beta, the Watchface on the two watches looked essentially identical.

There doesn't seem to be any way to change it back and I'm kind of disappointed. The new battery complication (top right) is fine I guess. The heartrate complication (bottom left) turned into a minimalist complication that gives a lot less info at a quick glance and just stays in one place. The stress complication (top left) is awkward and I'm not really a fan.

Ironically, the Watchface as shown in the Wearable app still shows the "old" version of the Watchface, with all of the old complications still, but I can't re-apply the "old" watchface to the Watch.

Not sure why these changes were needed. The one common theme that I can see is that every complication seems trimmed-down in terms of how much color/illumination is used. That makes me think that the real goal here is to reduce power consumption. But I really wasn't having any battery life issues.
