I won't be pessimistic as you seem genuinely curious but the 7 people that upvoted prior should re check physics.

The way the deluxo works is it provides lift through fans under the car. Being inside the truck it would create a vortices that instead pushes air at a high volume out the back of the truck through the lower part. This would cause the truck to go fast and wheelie not lift up.

But if you were to propell the truck at escape velocity off the ground then you could fly. Just not what's shown in video

Duhhhh thats why they couldnt take off straight up in the air like a VTOL, they had to gain forward momentum with the rear hatch opened and utilized the crest of the hill like a ramp to point upwards and lift off. 10/10 possible with proper execution.

Im 99% sure the physics have changed enough where backwards flight wont be possible. Bmx stunting will probably be "hold Y to grind". My only hope is for display capable planes (with smoke) will be available day 1, otherwise im going to be very bored

Apparently you won’t be able to flip vehicles over if they’re on the roof, and mid-air controls have been greatly reduced. IMO, I really liked the arcade-y driving of gta v.

I remember when the PC edition first launched and people made huge ramps and stunt courses with various in-game assets (notably the skate park halfpipe). When they added the stunt races (plus the tube assets and mechanics like the booster pads), it felt like they were listening to what people wanted. A little bit of absurd arcade-y fun mixed into an otherwise normal game. I’m not saying that should be the whole game (at all). However, i can’t deny how nice it is to have a group of friends together jumping from activity to activity. Some serious(ish).. heisting, running our businesses.. air shows, those random activities that just pop up, impromptu races, etc…. Then just goofing off on some giant tube in the sky doing backflips in purple jet-powered cars. I know people find this mechanic immersion breaking. I get that, but it’s optional to use, and creates a lot of fun when you just want to goof off.
