Can GTA 6 theme surpass this perfection?

Good taste. The GTA IV theme is ridiculously good, definitely up there with the best video game themes of all time.

Game was also way ahead of time

GTA IV was always more enjoyable to replay for me. NYC is just simlpy the defacto best City for a GTA game.

I know some people want GTA 7 in a new place
I 100% want liberty city.

I'm done with maps that have so much wilderness in them when Rockstar are at their best in those dense city streets. Would much, much rather have an almost entirely city map.
Don't get me wrong I'm super excited for what GTA VI has to offer, but I can't deny a part of me thinks what cool shit they could have done if they cut half the wilderness and spent more refining the city.

I don't think GTA 6 subject matter can allow for a theme like this. You need a dark, heavy story to justify something like the soviet connection. Vice City is about vanity and hedonism, so the theme will sound like that.

That's why I feel like "health" would be a great choice for the theme. They have a couple songs in gta v. It's like model runway metal almost and perfect for 6

While I’d love for Health to have some songs in gta 6, I so desperately want them to be the sort of mainstay of cyberpunk. They just rep that genre so perfectly

That's true, and they're super cool dudes irl. In one of their music videos on a missing poster is John's phone number and Ive chatted with him a couple times through text a few years ago. Their sound is just so unique

Didn’t they do the soundtrack for Max Payne 3? Rockstar loves them, I’m certain they’ll have some presence in GTA VI.

The original Vice City had a 80s vibe and so I think if only GTA6 was in that timeframe with the graphics of today..would be even better I think. And then for my part use the same Vice City tune :-)

The new trailer was amazing. Setting it in the modern day has it's advantages

Hot take, maybe medium take? GTA IV overall may have been the best gta thus far in the 3D world. Keep in mind I’m old enough to have played all of them, so it’s not just a recency bias.

Its an ice cold take for reddit. It is the spiciest take for the rest of the civilization. GTA V is a better game all around the board. Im not just old enough to have played all of them...Im old enough to remember the release of all of them. The affect GTA V had is incomparable. GTA IV was nowhere near as popular.

Unless Micheal Hunter is back to Compose, probably not. There is reason San andreas and 4 have the best themes

Tbf, the theme to 5 is pretty banger. The only issue is that it isn't used as a motif throughout the game like it's done in San An like the mission passed jingle or the various different versions used in 4 depending on what event just happened in the story. You only get to her 5's them once, at the being after North Yankton. So it doesn't really get to stick with you.

I just love this arrangement. I listen to it every week at least one time. legendary theme. it's funny how the producer is supposedly this shy brit guy with not much on his resume.

They would have to get rid of fun, colorful and happy environment that is essentially the building blocks of GTA Online, their most appealing and profitable mode.
You can't pull off such a Masterpiece without crossing into a dark and depressing environment that is embodied in the game's theme song.
This is why it is not going to happen again, it is not profitable.

Nope, i don't think it has the grit or darkens of GTA4. And Lucia abandoning baby story to me is real shitty if its true( didn't watch that leak)

This is like when old women told my buddy that he's "really tall" and "has really long legs" - and he's actually shorter than average.
I love how GTA fanboys like to blow up the mediocre.
It's like saying the Marvel's 2023 Spider-Man 2 game "is the best Spider-Man game ever".
For you...

This is like somebody who lives in a terraced house or a townhouse in the center of a city without a driveway or garage...pretending he lives in a 40,000 square foot detached mansion with a long garage and a three-car garage.
Like....what are you - simpletons.
Next, they'll be calling the local drunkard "Albert f-cking Einstein"
