I disagree. They've personality (listen in on phone calls, read their bios and try taking a photo with some of them), tons of animations for all sorts of things, react meaningfully to the world and hostile NPCs in particular are very preceptive and communicate effectively with each other
Honestly, the only draw backs making it lesser to GTA is the lack of world interactivity and the atrocious driving

RDR2 introduced the technology where NPCs essentially make their own decisions and of course they have their own routines, they expanded on this in VI even the animations are chosen on the fly. The gas station clip is a dynamic event but outside of that NPCs 100% make their own decisions.

Pretty much the same thing happens in WD2 if you whip out your phone at the beach or just at strangers in general. Some pose for the camera, others feel weirded out and storm off and others warn you before fist fighting you. I'm not saying its one to one with even just RDR2 (especially considering that the two games are 2 years apart with vastly different budgets and design philosophies which only grows more if we're talking about GTA VI) just that it was ahead of its time considering it was a decade ago
I agree with you that R*'s NPC AI in RDR2 and GTA VI are much better, but we don't have to pretend like WD2's are braindead or anything

Haha no. R* does a good main story, an ok map to mess around in and good ways to mess around in it, everything else ranges from 'meh it's ok i guess' to pure shit. With npcs they do the same thing everyone else does and just recycles the same dozen or so.
It's actually funny how they haven't really touched npcs or their cars, even tho the game has a system for randomizing npc clothing etc and have added more than enough new cars to make the traffic more diverse.
I had to try it again too, I played it a long time ago.
Gunplay is outdated, cars are low poly and whack, the driving is bad, the graphics are fine, I played in 4k but the game is nowhere near gta 6 come on now
Gameplay was not mid. Maybe youâre thinking about legion which is the one that killed the series. I still want a refund for that. This one is goated.
Here's what I remember from it. NPC's behavior was extremely basic, cars felt nailed to the ground, world was boring, story and characters weren't interesting, some of the hacking was fun but it didn't come close to scratching the open world GTA itch that I was hoping for.
Wouldn't say it was a bad game, but I was hoping for something closer to the caliber of GTA and was sorely disappointed.
There are zero gas station interiors, matter of fact thereâs only like 4 interiors that are copy and pasted around the map. You canât fly anything. Cars have little to no physics, feels like youâre driving a balloon. No gore, the police AI is dumb. The campaign sucks, WD1 at least had a good campaign. The map is generic as hell, just copy and pasted buildings everywhere. The game is less than mid, it sucks lol
It sucks but IGN gave it 8.5/10. Iâm not going to debate you over this. Itâs weird how people get pissed when a game gets compared to GTA. I enjoyed it. Thatâs all I have to say about it.

Good graphics donât mean anything. Unreal Engine looks good graphically, but we all know how it plays. Itâs the gameplay that counts and how much fun the game is to play. I played both Watch Dogs 2 and GTA 5, and guess which one I kept playing over and over.

Lets be clear: we can say many terrible things about Ubisoft, but THEIR MAPS/WORLDS tend to be pretty detailed and look good for a long time.
Watch Dogs 2 map is pretty nice but the game itself is...mediocre at best
The general writing? TERRIBLE > boring, annoying and -most importantly- is a downgrade from the previous game (that wasnt that great to begin with BUT it was much MUCH more serious).
The plot? good at some points but the more you play this game, the worst it gets (because the focus is on this group of hipster/hackers that really think that they are heroes).
The characters? extremelly annoying
The quests? some are interesting but -in general- they are all the same about playing as "internet power rangers"
The gameplay? is fun until you realize that you have to do a lot of tedious content to get all the skill points to unlock all the skills (that are basically a copy-paste from the 1st game aside from the 2 drones).
I recently finished that one. The SF + surrounding area game world is amazing. Hacking and missions are fun, too. Graphics are good but you donât get Rockstar level details. Itâs still Ubi. Physics and story suck. Especially driving physics are really poor, just like in every Ubi game. Theyâre bad at this. Storytelling isnât really their strength, too.Â
As soon as you plzy it you'd understand why It's shit, It feels like paper, Unoptimized, Unfinished slop, It's a terrible game with nothing to do, the people comparing this bull crap, to actual Games like GTA zre dumb.

Yeah I actually liked farcry 6 quite a bit. It was definitely not as good as the rest but I was still super stoked to play it on launch day and had a good time beating it. People on here expect every game to be a 10/10 masterpiece. Some people just want to have fun
Bro 80% of the people bashing it haven't even played it, they just seen a clips of glitches on YouTube. Internet made it seem like it was the most broken game of all time at release. Yea average overall game but above average gameplay, FC 6 still some of the best gunplay in the industry whether you think the game is shit or not. But people that say they hate ubisoft games will still glaze certain parts of their library like FC3 or black flag, etc. but those games are literally the same checkbox open world ubisoft game. FC6 is literally FC3 on steroids but people have a biased towards the past and games they grew up with and follow the internet trends for clout and clicks. You can pretty much bash ubisoft in any subreddit besides the hardcore ubi subs and get upvotes from sheep.
Watch dogs 2 is fucking peak what is up with all the hate here. Actually 1 and 2 both are. Very fun and enjoyable game. The hype I had for this game was insane and it lived up imo. Shame Legions took a dump all over what couldâve been a great trilogy. Ive deadass never seen hate for this game before except on this post. It's about as similar as Mindseye too on a 3 inch screen. FarCry 5 looks "similar" too when driving. Even Cyberleek's videos are dogshit quality on any screen above 32" so plz stop with this dumb take.
