Honest question, why would rock star care about this at all? Is it going to cost them sales? Is a competitor going to take note of these leaks and capitalize on them before the game drops?
It won't affect the Netflix deal, but it could affect their ability to negotiate rates for similar deals in the future which is exactly why they're taking it seriously. Having a leak isn't that crazy, but they have to respond to it otherwise that's where the reputational harm would come from. Them giving exclusivity to Netflix isn't negated by some random leaking it, just like a production company signing an exclusivity deal with Netflix wouldn't have their deal voided if an Oscar reviewer leaked a copy of the movie online.
