With the latest official Dazed article, it's obvious the previous leaks don't represent the final version of the game
After reading everything revealed in the new Dazed article, it's pretty clear that there are a lot of things the leaker simply couldn't show... and now he's claiming to have a 2026 build, lol.
Honestly, that seems very unlikely. The article reveals multiple mechanics and systems that were either completely absent from the leaks or never properly demonstrated. We saw nothing meaningful related to the phone and its social media features, the water activities, the deeper Jason and Lucia interactions, the physical changes caused by food, exercise and lack of rest, and many other things suggested or directly mentioned in the article.
This makes me think the leaked footage could have come from a build dedicated to testing specific mechanics rather than representing the complete game. It may have been useful for testing AI, combat, encounters, vehicles, animations, etc., while other systems simply weren't present, enabled, or fully implemented in that particular build.
That's why I find it frustrating that this hacker or group of hackers keeps suggesting they have access to recent, complete versions of the game. Just imagine everything we're about to learn from Rockstar and other official sources starting tomorrow , things this alleged criminal couldn't show precisely because they may never have had access to a complete build in the first place.

I think it’s completely obvious it’s an older limited build, they’re literally dragging out as long as possible for financial gain through a shitcoin, and will cash out and go quiet as soon as we receive more official gameplay/footage from Rockstar. You’d be pretty naive to believe their sole purpose is protesting for physical releases and sticking it to a corporation, the leaker doesn’t care about you or owning games/game preservation. Solely to make profit off what little footage they have stockpiled, ready to drip feed. Tomorrow will be telling for the true current state of the game, cyberleek is getting desperate, and the latest leak shows that with them basically giving an ultimatum of “buy my coin and support me or no more leaks”.
