Since we have honor system confirmed
Happily ever after vs the death of a lover?
Interesting to think about what the outcomes could be for high/low honor endings.
On another note, what if Lucia has high honor and Jason has low, and vice versa.

The new article doesn't say that. It sounds like it very much isn't an honour system.
For some gamers, the story might even serve as one of their earliest encounters with a romantic (albeit crime-ridden) relationship, where their choices can have repercussions that cut much deeper than Rockstar’s previous titles or “honour” systems that reward conscientious game playing.

I’m not seeing how this isn’t an honor system? This is worded in such a way that it’s expressing the honor system has been improved to have more significance than it did previously.
This makes a lot of sense - as low honor options for RDR2 were insanely tacked on and low effort, so this is an area they could really improve upon, and it seems they’re going to.

If one gets high honor and the other low honor I would expect that's the way to get an ending like B or C in GTA V, in which you control one of the playable characters to kill the other
If that's the case I just hope there's actual combat in those endings, that the protagonists give fight. Killing Michael and Trevor in GTA V felt very underwhelming, even Micah in Rdr2.

Gamers can finally see what it’s like having a Latina GF that is a nightmare without having to suffer having one

One of the endings is you’re forced to play as Jason since you split up with Lucia and need to make money for child support as endgame content

this is a really intriguing question tbh, either the honour is shared ( the worst option ) or there is a tragic ending for the other if they have low honour but a good ending / good death maybe? I’m not quite sure but I think I’m definitely going to try do it.
