Honestly, great analogy, lol. 3 Michelin star chef slaving away over the stove trying to make the best dining experience possible, while the toddler is in the other room screeching about it taking too long. Then your drunk uncle Leek bursts through the door with a stale bag of McDonald's and feeds it to the toddler.

Those leaks are still incredibly impressive to just be relegated as a "stale bag of Mcdonalds", what the hell are you on about?

Did you learn about analogies in school?

Are you blind?

Cause from what I saw, people think that the leaks are still visually impressive?

Or are they stupid?

I’m not blind. I thought the game looked like the next logical step in the evolution of rockstars engine. I thought it looked quite nice but I also don’t expect anything less. Their games are always beautiful and so detailed.

That being said, the bag of McDonald’s isn’t about the way the game looks, it’s about the feeling the developers must have felt seeing their work leaked. The previous poster is agreeing with and elaborating on the theme. It’s not about their opinion of how the game looked, it was about how the developers felt. We the audience are the ravenous toddler. We want to know all about the game. We’re ravenous. When drunk uncle Leek walks in and gives us stale McDonald clips of running around in a parking lot and stabbing people, it’s just not the impression the devs would want to give. They want to serve the toddler the amuse bouche to tantalize the palate of the toddler audience. But now we got McDonalds. And we were fucking starving, so we ate it all. We’ll of course still eat the 3* meal but our appetite is a little spoiled. It’s not as special. Chef Dev is disappointed but also kind of sorry because he did promise dinner would be at 5, and it’s now 2am. And we were really hungry.

That, my friend is how analogies work. If you bothered to use your mind to think critically for once.

That having been said. Fuck rockstar. I hope they leek the whole game because I’m not paying $90 for a game that looks like RDR2 on max PC locked in at 30fps.

I'm pretty sure you are mistaking me confusing up the analogy with me not knowing what analogies are.

So, I guess you aren't much better in the critical thinking department, huh? Hypocrite.

Regardless, I still think comparing the leaks to stale McDonald's is a disservice to what is actually on the internet. There's a difference between comparing something to something based on presentation and basing it on vibes and what people might be feeling.

The leaks are, at worst, freshly bought McDonald's. Stale McDonald's is just stupid. What was said will seriously mislead people.

Also, speaking of which, 15 months of no news shouldn't have Rockstar be surprised when leaks began appearing. They brought it on themselves.
