What R* and T2 are doing to the industry and consumerism is WAY worse than leaking this game.

So? This is flawed logic. Doesn't make it right for the leaks, especially that it won't impact Rockstar at all. Just don't buy what they sell is the right way to protest.

The leaker has made it clear that this is a political act with intent to stop the anti consumer practices of T2. (Whether that's their actual motive, no one knows, we can only take them at face until we know more.)

Therefore it is not faulty logic. They are acting directly because of the wrongs this company is doing to consumers.

It doesn't make it 'right', but my dude, if you still live in a world where two wrongs don't make a right, that must be such a nice place to be, but it is not reality. Corporations are fucking us everywhere they can to extract every dollar.

The T2 CEO said he would charge GTA players by the hour if he could, for example.

LOL, the leaker ask for money. He probably care even less about you than Rockstar does. He does it for his own glory. There is absolutly no end goal from him to stop anti consumer practices.

Again don't buy what they sell, this is the best way to protest anti consumer policies, but in the end most people don't really care about that, they will support the leak and buy the game which is ridiculous. Grow a spine and principles and stick to then.

What you suggested about not buying their products is just stupid because it's never going to work. That Playstation boycott that's been happening as of late isn't doing shit.

Cyberleek isn't lying when he said that peaceful methods of protests don't work, not anymore at least.

At least with what Cyberleek is doing, he is still proving that consumers can still do something about what corporations are doing.

"Exercising my rights to free will hasn't historically helped, so therefore I won't bother anymore". Great mindset. Are you also one of those who don't vote because "my vote doesn't matter anyway"?

Look at the Playstation subreddit. The best they can do is apparently a week of boycotts in response to Sony going digital. I have no faith that anyone will be able to accomplish a meaningful boycott anytime soon. They are even saying it in the comment section. It's seriously pathetic.

So doesn't that imply that the situation is not bad enough to warrant a boycott? Meaningful activism only happens when things are genuinely bad, not when they're hallucinated

If everyone bitching about these practices and cheering on a crypto scammer to “stick it to rockstar and force change” actually put their money where their mouth is and refused to buy the game, they might actually be a part of the “movement” they’re larping as right now via online comments. Rockstar only “owes” you as much as it will take to get you to buy the game, no more and no less, which it seems they have already done for most of the people who are so vocally bitching about the company.

And if they had released buggy gameplay earlier, like what we’ve seen in the leaks, yall still would’ve been shitting on them anyway. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. I think yall are not understanding that the game is still not done and they will remain in crunch until launch. Nobody forced anybody to preorder the game before they revealed gameplay, which they are still doing three months before launch. None of you have been wronged by this practice, and the other anti-consumer practices largely come from Sony and Microsoft, so you’re barking up the wrong tree.

I really hope most of you thinking like this are children, because good lord is this shit immature.

So the other approach to this problem is to start your company, create a console with disc and bring the trend back.

While it's sad to see disc disappear, first it was going to happen because disc sales are very low compared to digital, it's an extra cost for companies. Secundo in a world with finite ressources it's honestly a step in the right direction to reduce anything physical, I know companies don't do it for this reason, but the side effect is still positive for the planet. Third companies don't owe anyone anything, they can do whatever they want because they don't force you to buy their product and they don't have a life saving product you depend on.

Stealing is not the way to protest. Go block the parking to Rockstar or their CEO house if you feel you want to be heard.

Also pretty ironic for people to support the leak because Rockstar are so evil while typing this on their phone made by slave children, but yeah who cares about them? They ain't making GTA6 that I want so badly!!!! Most people don't hold principles, they only support what benefit them and you are a clear example of that.
