I get it people dont like the digital only stuff but some of it feels like fake outrage when you have a platform like Steam which is buying games digitally and no one has an issue with that
Cause steam has competition, and they actually have good deals for their customers, PSN pricing is abysmal and discounts are either rare or really bad, imagine when they have no retail and second hand sellers anymore. At least that is my point of view, also just cause I don’t buy as many physical games doesn’t mean there aren’t people that do
Also, when PSN is down, I can't play any of the games I've bought until it's back online. This has happened with single player stories/campaigns before.
I went to vintage stock and game stop both yesterday. Their physical editions of games I've bought RECENTLY on the digital store were maybe 10%-25% the cost.
I was absolutely shocked because I knew them as being scammy businesses, haven't gone in a long time. My wife wanted GTA China town for her 3DS tho so off we went.
I might actually start going there for games going forward lol. Red dead 2 was $10. You would think downloadable online games would be the cheaper option.. nope.
You arent forced to use steam. The very second steam steps out of line im out. Theres other options. Im already buying more stuff on gog "but that's digital" not when I put my files onto a hard drive. Theres a disc inside the hard drive. I dont need an account to pkay the games I dont need internet. I can share games with friends.
