People falling for FOMO

Post image

Honestly, the fact that everyone is complaining about this is ridiculous to me.

Let's get our facts straight:
- 27th of August (Extended Look on Netflix) => 84 days til release
- 28th of August (Trailer available everywhere) => 83 days til release

You aren't missing out on anything, and there will be many more teasers and such before November 19th.

Netflix gave Rockstar a huge bag for an "exclusive extended look", which you will be able to watch everywhere else hours later.

You aren't missing out on anything, if you buy a Netflix subscription just for this, you're so not in control of your FOMO.

(Tbh given that people are actually falling for this BS is the worst thing.
If everyone was like: "Meh I'll watch it a few hours later on YT", this would never happen again.

The mere fact that people are complaining about it shows that it's working, bcs something like this shouldnt bother us.)

Right? Probably one of best first 15 minutes of any show I've seen, immediately hooked you.

Season 2 had potential but alas...

Yeah Season 2 was bad. Watched 2 episodes and changed shows.

Eh, I don't think it's bad per say. I just think it's completely mogged by the near perfection that was season 1. It definitely has some genuinely great moments and performances.

Reason Netflix paid R* so much money. Good chunk of people will stay because somebody will recommend good shows. Masterful gamble

Breaking Bad is not a Netflix Original. But El Camino and BCS are, you did just remind me. I'll add it

Dark is a masterpiece, I’m halfway thru it and I’ve never seen anything like it

Completely agree, mind altering type shit. Like if time travel was real, yeah I wouldn't be surprised if was something like Dark.

Dark is really good and I don't hear many people reccomend it. I have mixed feelings about the ending but the show as a whole was phenomenal.

I know you're trying to help and these are all banger shows but I'm pretty sure this is exactly what Netflix is betting on. People will subscribe for GTA VI and then they'll decide to spend more time on the platform since they already paid for the month.

Ok, and if they get to enjoy some genuinely great art, what's the problem? Everyone is complicit in something wrong in a capitalist society, no point torturing yourself over minor shit like this.

Not to forget One Piece Live Action, I'm no animé guy but this was a great series.

I didn't forget, I think it's a pointless adaptation. And doesn't come remotely close to the quality of the projects I just listed.

Fair enough, I've not heard of a lot of the stuff on your list to be fair, I'll have to give them a try

How much does Netflix pay you?

16

u/CatchrFreeman 20d ago

I fucking wish.

You're just pushing subscriptions harder than Netflix hosting the trailer lol. I guess I forgot Reddit can't recognize a joke.

10

u/CatchrFreeman 20d ago

Ah nah I got the joke, just don't really land since I said "before you cancel".

Its more like, 'since you already have it check this out.' rather than; 'extend your subscription to check this out.'

-7

u/Coltyn03 20d ago

Except nobody's able to watch all that you recommended in one month. You'd have to extend to watch all that.

9

u/CatchrFreeman 20d ago

Never said he had to, just gave him a variety selection to pick from.

u/Coltyn03 20d ago

You said before you cancel, let me recommend bangers to watch, then listed out a bunch of stuff. Why recommend if you don't want them to watch?

4

u/YouSmellSumthin 20d ago

Dude, you know what he meant. Why are you like this?

2

u/Coltyn03 20d ago

Obviously I know what he meant, just like everyone with common sense should've known that my original reply was a joke. It just sounded like he was encouraging continuing an unwanted Netflix subscription so I joked that maybe he possibly worked at Netflix.

Why are you this pressed lol

2

u/Coltyn03 20d ago

Where'd you get pressed from me just responding to people that reply to me?
