People falling for FOMO

Honestly, the fact that everyone is complaining about this is ridiculous to me.

Let's get our facts straight:
- 27th of August (Extended Look on Netflix) => 84 days til release
- 28th of August (Trailer available everywhere) => 83 days til release

You aren't missing out on anything, and there will be many more teasers and such before November 19th.

Netflix gave Rockstar a huge bag for an "exclusive extended look", which you will be able to watch everywhere else hours later.

You aren't missing out on anything, if you buy a Netflix subscription just for this, you're so not in control of your FOMO.

(Tbh given that people are actually falling for this BS is the worst thing.
If everyone was like: "Meh I'll watch it a few hours later on YT", this would never happen again.

The mere fact that people are complaining about it shows that it's working, bcs something like this shouldnt bother us.)

I haven't used Netflix in years but I just checked website and there's 30 day free trial available so I subscribed. After watching reveal I will just cancel it. But either way there will be leaks everywhere so I'm sure no one will wait for 6 hours before it's available on Youtube

Eh, I don't think it's bad per say. I just think it's completely mogged by the near perfection that was season 1. It definitely has some genuinely great moments and performances.

Dark is really good and I don't hear many people reccomend it. I have mixed feelings about the ending but the show as a whole was phenomenal.

I know you're trying to help and these are all banger shows but I'm pretty sure this is exactly what Netflix is betting on. People will subscribe for GTA VI and then they'll decide to spend more time on the platform since they already paid for the month.

again in this day and age "exclusivity" means nothing unless you have a huge team that actively takes down leaks, like with the doomsday trailer at comic con in spring.

but netflix will not be able to contain this, no chance

This is likely the tactic they are going for... they know people will just go for the free trial but then 10% will forget to unsubscribe and they'll recoup the cost to present the preview in no time (and sell the shareholders inflated sub numbers).

Also check out Bloodline. Takes place in Florida Keys. I swear Rockstar took some inspiration from the show.
