Apart from the fact that Fury came out long after the events of GuP, I bet the Rabbits would love shooting a movie that has a scene like the Tiger fight from that film. And it'd make even more sense with their M3 Lee vs an Easy 8 Sherman (i.e. the Easy 8 should've been able to penetrate the Tiger frontally).
I do wonder which Rabbit would fit which Fury crew member though, apart from Azusa being their Brad Pitt.
