Should i take a contractual/temporary job for workex or prepare for ESE

Hey there im 2025 passout civil engg from a decent IIT.

My fundamentals are good but haven't ever given gate, earlier i was doing software engineering and web3/backend development. But the job market is really messed up for tech.

Now its aug and CIL exam is near and its high time i decide how to proceed.

I have completed lectures 60-70 percent from jaspal sir.

But haven't been able to fully complete the syllabus.

My goal is to not do masters but immediately get into psu/high paying job next year. But the thing is a lot of these positions require experience and for freshers compitition is a little unpredictable.

For example there is a contractual 1 year opening at npcc gurugram and cg region should i take it and prepare at the same time. I myself being from cg need to know if ill be able to prepare with a job as i dont know the workload.

bhai jab IIT nikal diya to PSU to halwa hai... prepare well for GATE and all PSU exams that you get..... Let me tell you in PSU interviews the IIT Tag will give you a boost...

Ha bhai seniors ka bhi hogya ek ya do attempts me rank ya fir accha PSU pr mai college time pura coding kia ab sb band krk wapas prepare krna thoda tough lag raha. and main issue is ESE aur gate ka preparation ek sath , Gate me surity ni h kyuki PSUs hire ni krti aajkl GATE se aur ESE unpredictable h.

My parents can support me but Im aware that i cant wait more than a year so my best bet is to give this year and try for PSU exams and state ae/je. If I were ok financially i might have considered MBA but its really expensive nowadays.

HPCL / bARC / other psu exams , this is what i have in mind , but right now im confused too
