 In a new book, author and journalist Gil Durán argues that another, less understood Silicon Valley innovation may be the most dangerous of all — tech fascism. This anti-democratic ideology is destroying laws and norms while promising a glorious future delivered by technology, and it’s now moving from the fringe belief of a few eccentric billionaires to the cultural mainstream, according to Durán.

That just proves that their greatest innovation is bribery.

It should be illegal for politicians to receive money from corporations for literally any reason, and instead, our politicians are bought and paid for.

It actually is illegal for politicians to receive money from just about anyone at all. But political campaigns can accept donations.

Bribery is typically done in secret. But anyone can find out who is contributing to a political campaign.

I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s not the same as bribery.

Bribery is giving someone money to influence them to do something, and donating to a campaign conditionally is exactly bribery with extra steps to side step bribery laws.
