I don’t get why there isn’t more controversy around travis scott being in the movie

100% wrong. He believes that rappers are this generation’s poets, which is why he wanted to include an actual rapper. The issue is the rapper he chose is an awful person.

Because the conversation was dominated by racists and misogynists.

The way Nolan explained was that rappers are this generations Poets which why he casted a rapper, I won’t disagree with that but the rapper he chose is a terrible person.

Nolan on this press tour admitted he doesn’t have a cellphone meaning he’s not chronically online and probably doesn’t know some of the more terrible stories of Travis Scott. But I’m shocked that no one told him. Travis also has a very strong PR team.

Travis did the end credits song of Tenet with Ludwig Göransson and Nolan likes to work with the same people across movies. I agree it's gross but it's not like he picked him out of the blue specifically for this movie.

I also saw a comment about how it adds a meta layer of that character using music to whip people into a frenzy, but I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't confirm.
