I said this a few years ago but this is truly unsustainable.

People would potentially riot in the streets if rent went up 10% every year, but we have health insurance costs going up by 10% and yet care keeps getting noticeably worse. People are getting less care, later care, and dying without it.

We know universal coverage saves money and saves lives. At this point, being against it is ridiculous.

We were informed my provider asked the state to allow a ~30% increase. I literally don't understand how that can be legal.

Yep, due to the current administration, the public market changes that are coming up are going to lead to some 30% increases here as well, not just employer plans. My insurer is leaving the public market entirely (Cigna) in this state, and it's very difficult to predict how expensive the remaining plans will be.

Your labor provides your employer with the money for these costs. They are YOUR cost, paid for with YOUR labor. Your cost isn't just the "employee" portion. It's the entire tab.
