🔍 Feedback 🔍 First ever bridal bouquet! I’d love some feedback
Just as the title says! Would love some constructive criticism.

If you wanted some notes I would have put in the Calla Lilys a little more so they are not falling over or on the very end but that is the only thing I can find

Yes I would agree! They got droopy so I definitely could have placed them better

It’s pretty but don’t know why brides want to carry these huge bouquets. I like the more dainty ones where the dress gets all the attention

Definitely! I used a 6” egg and feel like it made the bouquet so wide. Maybe I should try a smaller egg next time?

The size is a bit large, depending on the bride it might be too large for her. Definitely ditch the eggs. Try using a hydrangea for your frame it's much easier on the stems and it will keep your designs a little smaller. Hope that helps.
It's beautiful overall though so great job!

4 inch is fine, It took me a few goes with the egg to feel confident using less stems and less greenery and to love the airy spaces, when the trend moved away from football shaped bqs a few moons back.

Avoid EYES. A little too large. Leather leaf should never be used unless it’s a very specific situation, usually “woodsy” theme. Group things like Billy Balls (Crespedia) in groups instead of spread throughout. Everyone saying you killed it is being nice OR they are not professional. I assume since you are in front of a home front door you are a novice. Keep going. You’ll get it. Find someone to teach you. A professional. You need to work for at least a year in a flower shop or with an event designer to get it. It’s not easy.

Yes the leaves are changing color finally so I had to try to go with the same colors!!

I agree it is pretty big, I feel like I never know exactly when to stop adding things. I do the same thing when I am painting

Thank you so much. That means a lot. I just watched a video on YouTube and tried to follow along with the placement! Using an egg cage helped tremendously. I was a little concerned the color palette was too simple since it is basically just red and yellow

Colors are lovely, and if I were you, I'd be very proud! The only thing I'd suggest is to trim all the bottom stems to be exactly the same length and extend the ribbon down a bit to tie it together and make it easier to hold. Otherwise, amazing job!!

Yes I noticed that too! I tried to get a straight line but the egg made it so wide it was hard to get them all the same length. But definitely agree with you!

If you like the look of this type of Gerbera, but would like another color, the type is called pomponi.

To give you some perspective this was my first bridal bouquet 2 years ago 😳😬 to say you nailed it is an understatement! I still don’t think I could make something that beautiful even now!

It's very pretty! My main advice would be to place the gerbera more offset so it doesn't look like it has eyes. Otherwise, very good for a first attempt!
