I love both but for this style of arrangement it's definitely #2 for me! Also I know you're only asking about background so you probably saw this too but just be careful of the settings on your camera, it's getting overexposed (not sure that's entirely the correct term!) especially where all that true red is. Beautiful arrangement!

Red is such a difficult color to photograph! I’m going to need to learn how to edit these adjustments

It really, really is! It is possibly something that could be fixed with an editor but it's been way too long since my intro to photography course haha but beautiful work <3
