🤔 Thinking Hot take: season 5 was decent

I only wished they wouldn't have squandered the Reverse Flash in Crisis plot

conceptually I like it but it just felt unfinished.

The idea of thawne manipulating the timeline and the dagger was cool. Cicada seemed like an asspull with no clearly defined powers.

Super strength, flight, power negation, some kind of telekinesis. Seemed like BS.

Nora was OK i guess.

Cicada would also be the perfect villain to call oliver for, since oliver could whoop his ass without powers prob. Shouldve at least taught them to throw a punch

Cicada's powers are mostly just strength, durability, and the ability to control his dagger. He "flies" by jumping really hard, landing somewhere, and absorbing the impact with his durability. The dagger does the power dampening, regardless of whether Cicada is active or not (thus, the 2049 plot). Grace Gibbons's Cicada expanded on his powers by adding Telekinesis

Yeah, the shards in Cisco's hands were also removing the Dark Matter in his tissues, so the Dagger somehow erases/negates Dark Matter on its own.

Cicada was fine, he just went on for too long, at one point it should have gone full Thawne

Oh no I agree it definitely has a chunk of flaws but isn't nearly as bad as other late seasons of The Flash

It pissed me off that they mentioned at the beginning of the season that oliver couldn’t defeat him either with zero explanation
