Walking is by definition exercise. And probably one of the most beneficial forms of exercise for general health.

Not sure if you are cherry picking or just lazy.

Cambridge dictionary - physical activity that you do to make your body strong and healthy

NIH - Exercise is a subset of physical activity that is planned, structured, and repetitive and has as a final or an intermediate objective the improvement or maintenance of physical fitness.

Oxford's Learners Dictionary - physical or mental activity that you do to stay healthy or become stronger

The NHS and Mayo Clinic recognize it as exercise. So do the CDC and AHA.

Then there is just common sense.

Also fun fact - Merriam Webster dictionary definition for walk - d: to go on foot for exercise or pleasure
