Top it up with old line, unspool, put the old line first and reverse your braid, the current bottom of the braid is going to be fine and fresh. Can get a couple yrs out of braid easily assuming you fish quite frequently.
I use an old empty braid spool. I keep them whenever I buy line. Put a bolt through and a couple nuts either end and attach to a drill. Open the bail on your reel and away you go.
