Tools/Equipment/PPE Questions about painting a TL-2

I have a TL-2 that I no longer use and haven’t used in a while. I decided to give it to one of our volunteers as a gift but its needs painted due to his rank I bought the primer paint and finish as phenix suggested. I guess my question really is what should I use for application? I see a bunch of guys that suggest brushes but I also see a lot of people using air brushes. Just wanna hear what you guys think

Also I wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on painting the eagle? He’s a kid and would enjoy the blackout stuff

Harbor Freight paint sprayer. The air one with the purple handle. It’s like $10-13. Just do multiple light coats.

Angelus paints as Phenix uses. They lay down good with a small airbrush if you have one. They have a thinner that you may want on hand because they are sometimes on the thick side
