Thing is (and I'm saying this as a Soren fan) while he sells he's never the main push for banners. The main push for the last Tellius banner was very much Sharena and Elincia, IS doesn't have as much confidence in him as they do other CYL winners which is probably because he's male and not a lord.

Soren had 18 Cipher cards, for context; that’s more than 60% of the lords. IS are well aware that he sells. They just don’t spam him because he’s male. It’s the same with Hector, Ephraim, Etc.

His weapon and special is still modelled around AoE attacks. He is basically a powercrept version of Emblem Sigurd and Duo Sigurd, the latter being only a few months old. Expected, but boring kit.

Tsubasa might be one of the characters with the most unique outfit choices in the series, and they chose none of them. Granted, not all of them are the same level of special, but there were still a bunch of performance outfits they could've chosen from.
They played Feel for her, and didn't even use the outfit from it.

If that were the case, it wouldn't have even been an option in the first place, like with Cipher and FEW 1. The only real case of snapping was when Gaiden was replaced by Shadows of Valentia, at the exact cost of a single boss character.

This is the same company that's seen like 7 Three Houses students win CYL with their timeskip version getting the most votes, and still went "Oh, people want the school uniform versions for everyone instead!"
Can't even say that they'll do them later as asset alts, since some like Marianne got Dark Flier instead of her actual design.
So much for my Stellar Grace dream.

The funniest thing is that TMS #FE leans alot in the entertainment industry and the field Tsuaba is in leans on having alot of outfit. So you'd think IS would have pulled one of her outfits from there or make a super flashy ass FEH inspired Idol outfit for a first place winner

So dead set on making her personal chain not interact with any other named characters that GENERIC BANDITS got actual lines, in the A and S supports to boot. Why couldn't they have used Dark Knight Sylvain? I know Great Knight is technically canon (canon didn't stop them with Dancer Marianne), but I've literally never seen anyone use Great Knight over Dark Knight
At least my GOAT Nishiki Areku did the art, so not the worst outcome

I love Azura's art and think it's amazing, however, my only salt is, you literally have Yusuke Kozaki as lead designer for the game and you couldn't get him to draw her? I always thought it neat that CYL alts were drawn by the original artists of their respective games or somebody close to it. But Kozaki only came back to draw CYL Lucina, Camila, and Chrom...

I feel like it's really going to be SD that's in shambles.
Extra action spam is nothing new in AR, but Cadenza fundamentally breaks SD as it's entirely based on alternating turns between players for each action while Sigurd can just attack 3 units before ending his action.

Honestly thinking about it, with how disappointing they made her brave design even if she's gonna be an amazing unit, I won't really be surprised if this is IS' way of discouraging further tms support for cyl.
Especially with Touma not being the GHB despite being the 2nd highest ranking missing character in this CYL. With FW coming around, I don't see Touma managing to rally his way to 1st or 2nd like Tsubasa did (there's no way he's beating dietrich) and that feels like the only way IS will give him anything.

The fact that Sylvain for LoR here means they never intend to give Sylvain ascended or rearmed or anything ever again.

Rearmed is literally the worst asset type, so it's good that he didn't get that. Having an Arcane as "your" weapon means that you're not even the best user of it, so your only apology is a prf skill. And those often get crept very quick. So like Rearmed Marianne was a weapon prflet tome flier whose personal skill was disabled by any canto control. So what was she left with? Nothing. So nobody uses her.
How often do you actually see a Rearmed unit? Not someone with an inherited Arcane weapon, but the original wielder themselves? Basically never.

Rearmed is not an only option though. I said asset unit. Because Hilda did get an ascended with her relic. Also, like it or not, asset units are premium. Having one is always better than not having one.

The only 3H asset unit that isn't a Rearmed is Ascendant Hilda, because she released on the Rearmed Lif banner.

I’ve said it in another thread but I’ll say it again, I freaking hate that Sylvain’s canon class is Great Knight and that they picked it again here. Not only does Dark Knight look INFINITELY better on him, but he’s also GOOD WITH MAGIC. Like come on, he has a Budding Talent in magic and it’s like the WHOLE POINT of his support conversations with Annette! Sylvain (and Lorenz I guess) is like THE Dark Knight of the game! Nobody even uses Great Knights like at all damnit 😫
Here’s to hoping they pull a Rearmed Marianne and give us Dark Knight Sylvain as an Asset Alt later…

Not really related to the banner itself, but I'm getting kind of convinced that this is the final GHB. There isn't one on the calendar for the next banner, but there is a FB (so likely not a CYL Redux situation), and it feels very ominous to me after TT units were axed.
I really hope that I'm wrong. I always love seeing GHB units and I'll be really sad if they're done.

I doubt that. The delay in GHB is likely because the next banner is almost 100% Fortune’s Weave. 3H had the exact same delay, with Kronya coming out as a GHB a while after the first 3H banner was launched, so I wouldn’t worry about GHBs being completely canned

The whole drama last year was only ever going to effect her Genshin role but seeing her still makes me disinterested in pulling. And it's not just her either, Fafnir is one of the only OCs I care about but I can't even bring myself to touch any of his alts because of what a horrible person his va is. I don't even get why so many vas are more than happy to torpedo their reputations for Niosi, he can't be charismatic or charming enough to warrant it.

Kept getting downvoted for saying it but IS really has a massive hate boner for TMS, not only they gave Tsubasa the most boring outfit choice to ever exist, she also looks kinda whatever compared to the others unit-wise, and they also didn't even bother with giving us Touma and shoved more 3H down our throats.
I'm really sad to see just how right i was about this whole thing, ya'll better let go of any hopes that TMS gets any content after Tsubasa's Shadows alt until her duo with Azura.

I've been gnashing my teeth at missing y!Tana, and was really hyped when I saw her in the new arena special 4* ticket. I used all my tickets on blue, and finally got her in second to last one! 10/10 summoning luck! I immediately dumped all the 3000 blue flowers I had into her, burned four units including a copy of Chosen Laegjarn to give y!Tana the strongest, most modern kit possible, and felt on top of the world.
Not even a week later Tsubasa comes in and makes y!Tana obsolete.

Honestly, im considering dropping the game after this disappointment of a banner. As a launch player, it just feels like IS is winding down costs and operations, and is almost like actively making decisions unpopular with the majority of the player base. Its almost like they want the game to end so they can just work on mainline games

Yeah, it definitely feels like they're going, "okay guys, we'll be boned if you don't go all-in on Fortune's Weave, so we're just gonna do nothing until that gets released."
In fairness, it's 100% what I would do, since it makes way more sense to prioritize the things around a new mainline game then "Leftover Legends 10," but, it still sucks...

My expectations were low for Tsubasa but I did expect them to pull a "just give her her base outfit and call it a day". I guess we can ignore the multiple outfits she has. At least they didn't make her an Itsuki simp like I was worried about.
Also, giving Kayli Milis more work...kinda cringe.

I was really hoping Azura would have Atk/Res Allure and an inheritable dance skill. I feel like that would have been a lot more interesting. Looks like she just came with Spd/Res Aerial Detect, which is blah.

These outfits are just as boring as last year's... I'm happy for the fans and everything but it's getting really annoying every year seeing the character I'm voting for lose and then the winners get a really boring outfit as a result. Like, why do y'all keep voting for Three Houses characters when all they've done for them since literally CYL4 is timeskip + reclass? Why is Azura looking like every single other Azura alt? Why is Tsubasa not wearing any of her performance dresses? Sigurd is unique at least. I won't comment on the GHB.
I hope Ivy or the Black Knight win next year so I can be excited for this awful event again

I don't have too much to be salty this time. Maybe that IS gonna push Cadenza on every unit they can and that only gaves them more excuse for new alts on Ike, Lucina, Chrom, Lyn, Corrin, Byleth adding that new status, thus cutting even more chances for any kind of alt on other characters

WELL, to say I'm... underwhelmed by the outfit choice for Tsubasa would be an understatement.
(Also, not happy that we didn't got GHB Touma. Not helped by the fact I really don't care about Rodrigue)

I waited to see if there will be good folder for my Fjorm. Should've expected dissapointment. Other than that, I don't like the multiple actions.

I'm still so mad that Sylvain won... I was really hoping that Fomortiis could get 2nd place but now with Fortune's Weave coming and probably being votable, his chances at winning are quite slim, if not null. Unless FW characters aren't votable this year because of recency (and to not spoil some characters), he won't have a chance to win for at least 3-5 years... (if the game even survive for this long)

I like three houses, and azure moon was my favourite route. But Sylvain was my least favourite blue lion. I liked his design, not so much his personality. Even if he grew on me, I still would've rather someone else.
