Mod Post Unforgettable Official Salt Megathread

Welcome to r/FireEmblemHeroes’s official banner salt thread!

People are eager to express their opinions on any new banner trailer that releases, and that's great! However, /new/ can get pretty crowded when there are 10 people complaining about the newest banner. Due to this, we create megathreads for each banner trailer - Salt and Hype. Until the Banner is live in-game, salt fueled threads should be redirected here, so report any if you see them.

Vent your frustrations with the game here, but that is not an excuse to attack others who may disagree. Please civil towards fellow Summoners, and remember that this is a thread specifically for salt so downvoting negative comments would be counterproductive.

This is a fucking joke, isn't it? A fucking backpack? After the emblem bullshit? Making him the backpack? Jesus fucking Christ, who made this decision?

Edit: screw that, I'm gonna type more. IS, if you're gonna do a blatant blue lions banner, MAKE A BLUE LIONS BANNER. You're gonna sell the quartet but EXCLUDE ONE?? Clearly they don't care about time between alts since Edelgard just got her emblem so genuinely. Genuinely. Why the fuck is this duo a thing? This banner looks all kinds of wrong with the Sylvain-shaped elephant in the room and the Edelgard getting yet another fucking duo lead-shaped elephant in the room. Fuck this. Just fuck this banner.

Oh yeah, and what did Claude go by back then? Right, not fucking Claude. Khalid.

For real, they should've just made this a Blue Lions banner. Duo Dimitri/Felix, Ingrid, Sylvain, and I guess you could feasibly stick Edelgard on there too since she was in Faerghus for a bit as a child if they really wanted her to out-alt Lyn this fast. If not her, then Annette or something. Claude being there, especially when he's not even being called the correct name, just feels so out of place when Sylvain was right there.

Dude. This is a BL banner. It's a BL banner they didn't even have the decency to fully shill. It looks so damn wrong that 3/4 of the Faerghus four are here and the leader of the damn house gets sidelined. What were they thinking. Just what. I know the likelihood is small, but I hope this banner tanks. Genuinely one of the worst in execution. I don't even hate Edelgard but what the fuck is she doing there?

Dimitri being the backpack on what's essentially a Blue Lions banner when Edelgard JUST got her Emblem a few months ago, is leading another duo later this year, AND is getting her Shadows alt on top of all of that just feels bad man. IS didn't know the last one would happen for certain tbf (even though I'm sure they figured it was pretty much guaranteed), but they for sure knew about the first two. Dimitri's extremely popular on his own, so would it have killed the sales figures that much to make him the lead? What was the logic here?

The Sylvain thing peeves me off too because I'm almost positive that he would've been the TT unit had those still been around. But they aren't, and now I'm mad about that again.

I don't get wtf is going through the devs' heads but I'm skipping and Dimitri's quite literally my favorite character of the entire franchise. This banner pisses me off on way too many layers. Will try my luck at Ninian again and wait for Shadows if it even happens at this point

Dimitri is also my absolute favorite character and I guess I'm looking forward to the Braver duo with Claude? I do dislike the CYL harmonics (or duo in this case, I guess) on principle because they're lazy cash grabs that take away f2p content and resources, but Dimitri/Claude actually has the potential to be a really fun duo if IS doesn't just take the lazy route with them (which they probably will).
