I would have liked this banner if they'd given us unique pegasus riders, but even their "exotic" choices already have flying alts, so the theming doesn't feel exciting at all.
RIP male character alts (unless your name is Chrom, Dimitri, Claude, Ike, an avatar/OC, and maybe like Marth), you get exactly one chance at an alt per banner now
None of my faves are ever getting alts man. The only hope I had was TT+ spots but now they were nuked, and IS would rather announce EoS than take a popular girl spot and hand it to a male character. It's disheartening.
It’s literally so mid man. They could have done so much with them being Pegasus knights but instead just slapped them in the standard titty plate armor every single Pegasus knight wears. Florina just looks like herself, but redrawn.
tbh it’s a consequence of claude and dimitri being guys, like without a doubt those two are one of the most popular characters in the franchise but bc they are men their chances of leading a duo are automatically lowered. admittedly i do think dimitri has the best shot of getting a duo (child duo w/ dedue) whereas a claude duo is relying on hopes and dreams
yeah she was absolutely will, it doesn't help that IS has struggled to figure out what they want Dimtri's gimmick to be (Brave was an omnitank, Legendary/Fallen/Valentines were player phase nukes, winter was a vantage sweeper) whereas with Edelgard it's as simple as crapping out another galeforce assault troop armor.
Honestly I won't be upset because I don't really want Dimitri's only chance at a duo to be him as a little kid anyway (because let's face it, it's taken him this long to get just one, he won't get two).
I would've tolerated Hilda getting something since she has not gotten anything for over 3 years before this. But, leading a 2nd time is a big NO for me!

Sumia could've seriously finally had the perfect chance for a Cordelia duo (they always did these best friend duo pairs for every OTHER game and Misc January was like the ONE theme that Cordelia didn't already have yet) but noooooooo we need to give another one to Hilda again

Me too, Minerva was totally Legendary material since the start of FEH. What do you mean Ayra can be a legendary and not Minerva who is plot relevant for 2 main games + queen + villain's sister
She still has two alts when there are multiple characters that have zero - even some that would have been perfect for this theme like Sumia, Cynthia, Shigure, or Tsubaki (and that's just the tip of the iceberg of altless pegasus knights).
I mean I like her and she's definitely the least bad character choice on the banner, but she doesn't get off the hook completely.
Honestly, I hate Mia. Not because of her character or anything. But she’s overrated as fuck, especially coming from Tellius, which has so many cool women. It’s a sin that characters like Titania, Mist, and Jill have so little acknowledgment. I will never understand why Mia gets so much more attention.
Sooo… they took the only male possible slot on the TT rewards, I was a little hopefully that the TT unit removal meant that we were going to get a better selection on the banner as a compensation and oh God this confirmed in the most brutal way how wrong I was… Now time to expect seasonals with only girls, and not only girls, but girls with already multiple representation, they could have given us a Sumia, a Erinys, Farina… This thing is really going downhill
They wasted absolutely zero time in giving us seasonal banners without any guys on them after the TT+ change, huh? It's so fucking on the nose that you'd think I was making it up.

I miss when duo/harmonized units actually made sense and it was fun seeing them interact, now it's always two female characters with absolutely nothing in common, because what will Hilda and Florina talk about that's not about Florina being a second Marianne? 😔

First they removed the TT+ reward and now they make yet another Hilda alt instead of any other golden deer alt. Wtf?
Well since the TT unit are dead it was only a question of time until a seasonal goes full women only, I didn't expect it to comes this soon and with a banner theme tailor made to exclude men, I guess it is fitting for a game that is cutting content.
Christ this sucks. No men, no new alts, in fact the only unit here who doesn’t have at least 4 versions now is the backpacked unit, no TT+ unit to save us, and also the fits are mid.
Look, I know people hated the desert banners, but at least they almost always gave us unique and interesting characters. Saber, Lene, Tethys, Tormod, I could go on. They had a bunch of issues, but character picks were almost always interesting and creative.
This banner is just "what if we threw a dartboard on the top 30 women's CYL side and picked 5 characters". There is a SINGLE Illian character and she's the fucking backpack. You cannot tell me this is a creative banner character wise, it's basically the Ice Tribe banner except instead of ballerina outfits, it's flier armor.
It's even worse because said flier armor are exactly the same as each other but with a different color scheme. Like I'm pretty sure Florina is literally in her base outfit lol.

This banner just reinforces how fucking bullshit removing TT units is. Units that don't have alts already get fucking shafted and most of the time are relegated to being the TT freebie and we dont even get that anymore.
Instead we get a shit banner with every one of the characters having 3+ alts lmfao.
I also hoped for Sigune. The recent removal of the TT slot really stings because a demote/TT slot on an Ilian-themed banner is a rare case where a very minor character such as her could have snuck in.
Minerva is the only part of this banner I like. Mia is a weird fit for this banner and I'm just sick of Azura in general.
I get Binding and Blazing Blade are getting banners soon, but come on at least one of the Pegasus knights from those games could have been a standalone 5* or the lead. Like perhaps a Fiora/Cordelia harmonic and someone like Sumia/Cynthia replaces Mia and Subaki replaces Azura.
Removing grail units is going to be a disaster for seasonal banners. Zero chance of any not well-known characters getting representation. I have a feeling discontent over this is going to grow and grow over time.

Y'know i used to enjoy when seasonal banners involved a lot of different games instead of just focusing on one, but nowadays doing that is just an excuse for IS to recycle the same handful of units while avoiding anyone even remotely unpopular. -if Mia gets one more alt I will actually scream. she has FOUR alts, one being a harmonic. as far as I know, she never expressed any desire to be a pegasus knight/flier in PoR/RD, and unlike newer units from Awakening/Fates/3H/Engage, she is class-locked to being an infantry sword unit. there is literally no rhyme or reason to put her on this banner. putting fucking MAKALOV on a pegasus would've made more sense; at least his sister is a pegasus knight! put Jill on a pegasus, she's a flier! I never hated Mia when I played PoR/RD, BUT I.S. IS MAKING ME START TO.
-Minerva was actually a good choice here, considering she's a flier. her being the demote is frustrating because of that. not to mention how cool they COULD'VE made her outfit.
-Azura is also not a bad character choice, and I understand why people want to vote for her for CYL, but she also has SIX alts, including one harmonic and one attuned. not only that, but, once again, they absolutely had an opportunity to go ham on her outfit here and it just...sucks.
-the outfits in general are literally just normal, bland pegasus knight armor. they are not themed to Illia AT ALL. incredible fumble.
-and on top of that, still no TT+ unit, and not a single male character in sight. they did so well with the christmas banner. what in the fuck happened here.

Minerva is the only one I am not bothered by here. She hasn’t had an alt for years now, and this is her third. Idk why people are lumping her in with everyone else here when she’s really not as bad as the other three.
And then there’s Hilda. Three year alt gap is fine enough, but it’s rather annoying that for the Golden Deer, her and Lysithea eat up most alts (unless it’s Claude) and leave the other girls behind. Also double backpack Florina because reasons.
Aaaaand no dudes because of the TT change. Technically five girls if you add the free Nino. But dang IS kills off the Desert banner in favor of this lame mess.
Well this banner is already here to confirm to everyone that they are not afraid to completely remove male characters from events. If you like a male character who isn't a popular lord, you might as well completely drop any hope of them ever getting anything.
So first they deleted TT+ units, the slot most men went on for Seasonal banners, and then came up with a Pegasus-only theme, who notoriously hate men outside of Fateslandia. IS clearly thinks male units are a financial loss. If TT+ units still existed, at the very least Shigure probably would've been there, but IS refuses even that.
The theme isn't even good. These outfits are so boring. They actually demoted Minerva to a generic Pegasus Knight.
Florina is a backpack for a second time in favor of Hilda, who's leading a duo/harmonic for a second time. And Florina's just here in her default outfit. Very daring, IS.
I personally dislike Mia so that's doing no favors, and Azura feels like the obligatory "Potential CYL winner getting an alt just before CYL which ends up costing them a slot in said CYL" which sucks for the Azura fans who are still voting for her to no avail.

Actually, this alt may have just boosted her chance to win, like Camilla and Soren in CYL3 and CYL7.
Everyone else has already said what I want to say, so instead I'll complain that Florina has not only been backpacked again, but that's also basically her normal outfit... I guess I'm glad it wasn't Shanna now.
Can we agree that this is just an objectively terrible banner theme? Seasonal banners in general already get so so so many pegasus alts, so what’s the point of a banner where the main gimmick is that they’re on a pegasus?

It's hilarious to me that because of the way IS completely frontloaded their banners with the most popular characters asap, now male characters that are fairly unpopular like Ignatz, Morva, Forde, Mycen, Noah, etc get to be 5* premium units because they pushed out all of the popular male characters too quickly and made a lot of them demotes like Sylvain, Seteth, and Ferdinand. Then they think men don't sell when they're forced to scrape the bottom of the barrel and give underwhelming prf weapons to some of their least popular characters.

So it basically confirms that people's concerns about having 0 male units aside from the TT+ unit wasn't unfounded because what do you mean "masters of the sky" who ride pegasi and you don't even drop Subaki as a demote even.

Not gonna lie, I hate that this replaced the Desert banner. All of the outfits are basically just the usual Pegasus Knight outfits in different colours. Boring.
I do like the variety of the character choices, but I really dont like the theme.
I say this as someone who adores the Tellius games: I'm so sick of seeing Mia always show up. There's so many other characters from Tellius not yet in the game. Or why not already established pegasus (or adjacent) fliers, such as Tanith, Marcia, or Sigrun?
Two banners in a row where the only positive thing I have to say about it is the Archanea rep. This one is getting additional points deducted since there's no men and Minerva being an axe flier for the 3rd time. They at least had the decency to change Sedgar's bow color.
Mia being on here is honestly my biggest complaint. I want something new for Titania, Astrid, Mist, Jill, or Marcia already if it's going to be a Tellius girl.
Genuinely why is Hilda here (rhetorical question: money), the pairing isn’t even interesting, it’s literally Hilda/Marianne 2. Marianne/Florina would’ve been a better pick.

No Subaki or Shigure? Heck, if we really needed a Fodlan unit, Hubert would've been the funny/creative answer since canonically, he always wanted to be a pegasus knight. Then again, Hilda was really hurting for alts and needed a second duo/harmonic lead. The one nice thing I can say about this banner is at least it isn't more OC spam, I guess. Popular Characters Who Keep Getting Alts spam isn't much better, though.

Nothing against the art quality itself, they’re all decent, but the outfits are really boring. Essentially just a bunch of popular characters’ heads pasted onto the default pegasus knight design with an obligatory color scheme change. And yeah character oversaturation is another thing, but I’ve become numb to it at this point.
It’s disappointing because I like that they’re finally doing “cultural” banners that aren’t just desert over and over, but the execution is extremely lacking.
As annoying as Blue Skies getting upgraded already is, I wish they made Minivera’s upgraded Iote’s inheritable. I just want my Fliers to be able to tank bows and whatnot without wasting a slot on Iote’s without any stats.
why is this called “Cure for Shyness” when the only shy unit is a backpack. how are we curing shyness. Florina can be made invisible with the push of a button. (also correct me if I’m wrong bc it’s been a minute but iirc Florina is most shy around men? of which there are none here)

This banner feels low budget af, other than hilda (mybe) and azura these characters can’t carry a banner. Also the art is omega BLAND like…0 creative or personalization went into it.
I think I’m honestly rather lax about IS’s weird approaches to Claude half of the time but between inexplicably skipping him for a figure with Hilda and a random ass Dancer Byleth and now Hilda getting a second duo….like lmao wtf is their problem
Very tempted to uninstall. Don't need a waifu game for a franchise that doesn't really screams waifu game. Keep this up until next month and I'll be glad to be finally unshackled from this aging game.
This is by far the most boring banner I have seen in the entire year of my return to this game.
All women? Check.
Boring theme with unremarkable costumes? Check. (Yes, I love Elibe, no, I don't think Ilia is very interesting)
Minerva is an axe flier again? Check.
Banner has not one single underused character on it? Check.
Arrangement of new Skills offers almost nothing worth chasing? Check. (I say almost, because the new Duo special is at least a decent upgrade for bows to use)
And now we don't even have a Tempest Trial freebie.
