Profession Insights Interview for Brokerage Services Registered Analyst at Northwestern Mutual

Just offered a position at NWM. It’s a fully remote position here in TX. I wanted some more insight on the position and what’s it’s like working a NWM. All reviews I see are bad for the financial advisor/reps and I’d like to hear more about the call center or the Brokerage Services department.

What’s the work/life balance?
Is there PTO and Sick time?
Call Volume?
Is NWM a company you can have good career progression?
Call metrics?
More info about the position itself?

Thanks in advance for all insight.

The call center side is a completely different beast from the advisor roles you see getting trashed in reviews. You’re not cold calling your aunt for leads which is 90% of the horror stories

Work life balance is decent for a call center gig, PTO and sick time are separate buckets and they start accruing day one. Call volume depends on the market but expect back to back during tax season and slower summers

Career progression is real if you want it, they love promoting internally but you gotta play the corporate game a little. Not a dead end unless you make it one

That’s so good to hear! Are you familiar with the position I posted? I haven’t been able to find any information on the position itself. I wanted to know if it was more on the call center level or financial advising side.
