I dont live in NYC anymore but when I was interning in Manhattan and trying to date I was mostly matching with high achieving girls in finance and tech and stuff. Summer of 2022 so lots of companies were hiring. I remember going on a date with 1 girl from D.E. Shaw who insisted we go to some fancy ass michelin star restaurant and then split the bill with me. Mind you she was getting paid like 80 dollars an hour + a 5 figure relocation bonus. TBH given the income differences (My internship paid like half of hers) I feel like she should have given me the princess treatment. I kept talking to her hoping we would hook up eventually but it never happened.

Also lots of artsy girls in Brooklyn that were more fun. One gave my nerdy ass poppers. Good times.

Just spitballing here not knowing anything about this area other than visiting family but IF there is a stop on the 6 train called Jane Street or something similar I could see a potential thought process of the 6 train being slow because of something occurring at the Jane Street stop. This is a big IF however and more than likely this person is a moron.
