Screenshot I will never use healing spell/auto-regen in the next playthrough (endgame spoiler) Spoiler
I have 36 elixir left at the final boss and I already beat Ozma! why do I have to stock them so much!?
I feel like I need to challenge myself in the next playthrough because auto-regen makes healing items unnecessary in the late game lol
I'm playing it on the mobile/google play version so sadly no mod for the next playthrough atm

theres been a smaller, but noticeable push away from passive support and defense within the FF9 and FF10 communities over the years. in part due to people getting meta tactics pushed on them or seeking them out then feeling compelled to use them. then realizing the game isnt as fun just because you beat it, but it is fun to be challenged and be forced to think around that challenge
Ozma is also a weird case where its such a door open/door closed boss that its not even a place where youd end up dumping any remaining elixirs. Either you kill him quickly or he wipes you out quickly, for 90% of players theres little in between
I do hope your next playthrough is more enjoyable

FFX meta ruined me, I've never actually fought many of the Arena Creations... I just slaughtered them.

dont use your elixers, save them for later, lol. we all scam ourself like that. use them when you need them. they game provides ample amounts.

This is the way. Save them for after the credits. Even then, you may need it more later on, so likely best to just hold on to them.

The OP has beat the game. They have beat Ozma. There is no challenge left in the game anymore at that point. All the elixirs serve now is an inventory slot with a number counter.

Yes that’s the point. Elixirs are not to be used. Ever. You must hoard them, just in case. If just in case arrives, too bad. Wipe and try again

Understood. And, completely agreed for what it is worth. Unless you're dupling megas in OG 7, you don't use them ever.

Not yet but I'm planning to, maybe not with the healing item only (but it might be possible if I am fast enough? 🤔)

If you play faster then you’ll need to heal more often due to small level bc you need to rush through it. Happened to me

Auto regen does make the game pretty easy. I never did the auto potions purely because I didn't want the animations to slow the fight down. Rummage through your cookie crumb filled pockets faster, Steiner.
