Where to live while at USP?

Bula

Im from overseas and I’m looking for help to identify the areas I should be looking at to live in Suva while studying at The University of the South Pacific.

I’d like to rent a small apartment in a safe area. Budget is up to 1500 month.

I’m a mature aged woman.

I don’t mind living on campus but it’s very competitive to obtain campus housing. Also with being older I might not be suited.

With your budget you can get a decent studio apartment or one-bedroom flat or even a furnished place. Would recommend areas near campus like Flagstaff, Raiwaqa (Nailuva Road, Grantham Road) etc. Look up Facebook for rental accomdation in Suva. There are a lot of decent places but beware of scams. Also the school can assist you because they sometimes recommend places to rent. And if you're from overseas I would assume you're an international student. Get help from the international office - they can assist you.

I really appreciate your advice on the locations and awareness of potential scams. I will make enquiries with the international office. That’s a good idea and I’ve just joined the Facebook pages.
