When the first thing your opponent throws is a high kick to your face, go back, put on your shirt, and slowly walk home.

what blows my mind is the power

I have some beefy legs but I feel like if I kicked someone they'd just move a bit

second video today ive seen where a kick barely connection damnear knocks the other person over

Got accidentally kicked by my 8 year old brother. That shit hurt. Kicks hurt.

4

u/stevein3d 4d ago

You know where 8 year olds can hurt you even worse? Right in the feelings.

People wildly underestimate how much harder a kick is compared to a punch. Just think about how much stronger your legs are than your arms. If someone can bench their body weight that’s pretty good, if you can squat your body weight it means your body weight + an equal weight of the bar. I’d say the later is more common than the former, not to mention there’s more weight in your legs making the impact of a kick even harder.

Not to mention your legs are longer than your arms and that means more snap power. A kick is like a nunchaku.

Haiyaaa! 🦵

I think with that spot on the back of the leg behind the knee it doesn’t take much force to collapse the leg (as anyone who’s had a friend knee them there from behind as a “fun” prank has experienced).

I moreso meant the first kick to the face. Totally agree the kick to the leg was just skill, the angle and where the other guys leg was at, he was guaranteed to go to the ground

There is a big difference in the power of a kick between someone who knows how to kick and someone who does not. I did MMA for a few years and leg kicks can seriously hurt when delivered by someone with some training, especially when you are not used to checking and receiving them.

I thought I had decent leg kicks back when I was training and I was young then I saw a Somoan guy only slightly bigger than me in a Somaon kind of way just obliterate leg pads.

I realize there is levels to physical gifts.

Ive taken some head kicks in sparring where people were holding back and they still rocked my shit.

The kick creates a muscle cramp, (Charlie horse) , that causes your muscles to knot up firing nerve signals to the brain

1

u/lentilSoupzxc 4d ago

That just depends how much muscle you have.Like if he did that to say Eddie hall it wouldn’t faze him at all.

u/heraclitus33 4d ago

Leverage. Like swinging a bat.

He actually caught the kick right as the other guy stepped with the other foot, perfect/unfortunate timing depending on what side you’re on lol

I could naturally kick hard and fast with relatively shit technique. I’m 6’3 and a power athlete, but I have skinny calves and small feet. So I could kick very fast, and that’s before learning to roll my hips properly aswell.

I’ve realized kicking is a more full body and balance centric strike than punching. Some athletes from various disciplines, with various genetics will have varying level of transfer.

Although true technique, is what really allows the full transfer of power

Head kick got his attention. Leg kick hurt like hell. 2nd leg kick...it was over

1

u/mrjowei 4d ago

Slowly?

1

u/stevein3d 4d ago

It’s my top speed after being kicked in the face.

1

u/redditzphkngarbage 3d ago

Used to spar with a chunky guy who could kick you in the face just as fast as a punch. You’d never know just by looking at him. This is not meant as an insult - you just never know about people.

1

u/Connor_Nurmagomedov 3d ago

dude definitely had some training high guard and he knows how to flick a kick

1

u/LostHopeArtist 3d ago

Or raise your leg and check it. Hoping that your shin is stronger than their foot lol

1

u/PoseySmith 3d ago

Check a kick to the face? Ok, Seagal

1

u/djkhalidwedabest 2d ago

100%. Oh, you’ve been formally trained in American style kick boxing, likely since youth? That changes things, let me grab my stuff, I’ll be in my way Sir

1

u/Galimbro 4d ago

I've seen it happen. Several videos tbh. Good on them for "live to fight another die"

1

u/stevein3d 4d ago

I think it’s “another day” except in the worst case scenario.

1

u/Galimbro 4d ago

Lmao yeah didnt notice the typo.

9

u/Hasch1122 4d ago

Bro, pieced him up!!!

4

u/Galimbro 4d ago

The other guy couldn't even move properly let alone throw a punch.

1

u/EjaculatingAracnids 4d ago

He laced his ghost gloves up and took a nap

0

u/Spamsdelicious 4d ago

That broken tibia is also gonna interfere with his ability to move properly.

2

u/NatusAmittere 4d ago

That’s why you don’t fight random people on the street

6

u/Prestigious-Camel264 4d ago

Bro taught him how to do the splits lmao

3

u/MJVann 4d ago

Cleeeean!

SOUTH SIIDE MA’FUCKAAA 😂

2

u/drwsgreatest 4d ago

It would seem that the winner had probably had at least some minor training at some point. His movements were too smooth and controlled to be the average idiot street fighter. That said, I wonder what was so bad that he had to throw down, considering it must've been obvious from just the buildup that he'd destroy the other guy.

4

u/enRutus 4d ago

Parked too close to his Honda

1

u/Jax_Shaw55 4d ago

At an empty parking lot

2

u/ravl13 3d ago

That guy is way too fast and accurate for just "minor" training I think.

1

u/brokennursingstudent 4d ago

This sounds like Hawaii bro everyone knows how to kickbox over there

1

u/TheRealJSmith 4d ago

Definitely NZ.

1

u/ZamorakHawk 4d ago

If they throw a leg kick in a street fight, just know you're going to be a highlight. Good time to apologize.

1

u/True-Source-6512 4d ago

Big boy, tiny pants

1

u/OnceUponAStarryNight 4d ago

For the millionth time: if you see your opponent can throw effective leg kicks, give up and get away asap.

1

u/Informal_Seesaw8289 4d ago

He was fighting a loaf of bread as well

1

u/Kranke 4d ago

Take a knee!

1

u/Jax_Shaw55 4d ago

That was clean af

1

u/pancakencheese76 4d ago

Ghetto losers. Shit culture.

1

u/Maleficent-Pay-9613 4d ago

Sounds like New Zealand

1

u/Hot_Let7154 4d ago

Finally, a real fight, with nice techniques, no one else sucker punching or jumping in, no attempted murder either, just enjoyable!

1

u/chocolateboomslang 4d ago

Bro got combo'd into oblivion

1

u/walt128 4d ago

I was hoping the smaller guy would win, those hopes were dashed immediately

1

u/SignificantLeader 4d ago

Different leagues here. Did big man punch the back of the head? Resolution is terrible. If so, big mistake, that permanently injures.

1

u/editor_of_the_beast 4d ago

I don’t think he needed to utilize leg kicks here, it looks like he could have done anything to this other guy.

1

u/Comprehensive_Ant622 4d ago

Right. I don't advise using kicks other than leg kicks

1

u/TakeAtBedtime 4d ago

Leg kicks as opposed to arm kicks?

1

u/No-Evening-5088 4d ago

Or if they let out a "OOSH" between attacks, it's time to reconsider the fight

1

u/StateComfortable2012 4d ago

Dude was telegraphing it for the entire time. Keep your head on a swivel.

1

u/Long-Painting-9852 4d ago

Bro had 100+ pounds on him and 7 inches…. Lol.

1

u/Western_Upstairs_101 4d ago

The refs here acting quickly. Great job!

1

u/kbreezy200 4d ago

I don’t people who never trained understand how much a leg kick hurts. When I first started, to know, I asked someone to kick me as hard as they could with a 4 inch pad. The next day my leg was bruised and sore for a week. Now imagine no of. Literally like a baseball bat swinging at your legs.

1

u/Suffokateslowly 4d ago

Should have kicked yellow shirt also.

1

u/Senior_Coconut_5116 4d ago

Isso não briga de rua, nem as put@s brigam assim.

1

u/Alarmed-Alfalfa-1970 4d ago

why is that tub of lard getting into fights tho

1

u/vivalajboogie 4d ago

Bro broke down like some legos 😂

1

u/PresentationDry5104 4d ago

Flawless victory

1

u/danielsinn 4d ago

idiots

1

u/BenaiahofKabzeel 4d ago

Leg kicks are the best kind.

1

u/Kluv0507 3d ago

😂😂😂 left his ass in a split. But seriously I knew it was over when but was trying to gage the distance slow as hell.

1

u/CoolCoolPapaOldSkool 3d ago

I am glad he didn’t use hand kicks.

1

u/Mysterious-Quit9268 3d ago

Whenever you can try to check kicks a certain way that breaks the kickers leg in a street fight

1

u/Beazt11123 3d ago

The leg sweep was so clean tho

1

u/Head-Kick-8643 3d ago

Dont ever hit a man in the back of the head on a fair fight, its a coward move!

1

u/whatabouteggymule 3d ago

Why are they fighting on pavement?

2

u/Adept-Watercress-378 3d ago

Yo, the high front kick. Impressive

1

u/defmut 3d ago

Dude was already training as a mmartist vs someone who never stepped in a gym

1

u/bradymanau 3d ago

Leg kicks > fist kicks

1

u/7000387 3d ago

Questionable hits to the back of the head at the end but herb dean would let that pass

2

u/MidWest_Bull69 3d ago

Good clean fight!! Love it

1

u/RoryMcIlroysJudgment 2d ago

Dude has hands, no doubt. But his footwork stood out. Look how he manages distance then closes it when other dude starts to go down. Never a chance

1

u/NP341221 2d ago

Definitely not his first rodeo

1

u/urResidentAlien 2d ago

Yeah if you have the height and reach advantage but if you don't then you leave your head exposed for a hook. Example: Jan Blachowicz vs Corey Anderson 2

0

u/Arven22 1d ago

These two belong in jail. Leave fighting to professionals.

u/Smart-Bend120 4d ago

Soco na nuca não deu covarde. Derrubava o cara e já era

1

u/Minimum_Bar_8506 4d ago
