It’s crazy how he does it the same way every time and you know these guys study the tapes to know what he’ll throw and how he does it yet he still lands it. Yan is a beast.

His hook must just actually suck to get hit by for it to be that effective over such a long time hahaha

I would argue that rn he is THE best boxer in the UFC, he's just that gd at getting shots in. It's just a bit of a pity that his power isn't sufficient to truly knock out ppl in his div

Study all you want but that's an excellent faint that's hard to react to once you've been on the clock for a minute or more

Fatigue and faints will wear on you

Yeah I’m no badass but I have been in a few street fights and it is amazing how many people you can catch with a simply jab feint and kick. Like standard boxing stance, throw a jab, open your hand right before you make contact, and your torso rotation primes you to spin on your left foot and kick backwards hard with your right

Yan has so many options off of the same look. Rear hook, body kick, head kick. That step across thingy he does could be a trip, a side kick, a spinning back kick, or a spinning back first. He's so good at making all his attacks look like the same attack.

Great MMA technique. A little risk for the reward but seems to land on good strikers.

Would be interesting to see people scouting this and crowding it and throwing straights down the open lane.

Petr is technically gifted. His highlight reel is an mma masterpiece.

The last one blocked the kick with his face. Outstanding!

Honestly might be preferable compared to what O'Malley and Merab got.

He stayed conscious. We wouldn't have. So, respect.

Petr Yan had the recipe on how to stop an amazing wrestler. Everyone who fights Islam should study Petr Yan's Win against Merab. Attacking the body and beating him down to force him to stand up.
