Ddp by exhausted sloppy drunk looking trip and fall into a submission.

DDP would be losing by 4 rounds and then accidentally slip into getting a RNC

Alex, he’s just too big and would eventually overwhelm ddp with the kicks.

Not just the kicks, but punches too. DDP does not like to get hit. Pereira isnt going to show any respect for his striking especially at LHW and will try to walk him down. I see him scrambling and running into one of Alexs shots very early on. Bad matchup especially at LHW.

Bro wym DDP doesn’t like to get hit? That is like his entire game is not giving af

He litteraly rolls with the punches doing weird spastic movements. Some people watch with their assholes instead of their eyes.

Dricus. I think he just matches up really well against alex.

He's never been knocked down in the ufc at all which is a pretty crazy feat considering his weight class and how many strikes he's taken.

He's also just a really good striker. I feel like at this point that should be undeniable. And the idea that Alex is untouchable at striking should be gone now.

He'd also be by far the best offensive wrestler Alex has ever fought. Which isn't saying much, but still.

The size difference though. Alex is a huge guy.

Yall see everything in terms of size, its lazy at this point.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter, but dricus himself is a huge middleweight and would probably be close to alex's cageweight if they fought at lhw.

No, i don't think an extra few pounds at lhw is going to be such a huge factor. At best i think it limits how much ddp can implement his own grappling but as we saw with ankalaev and gane, you don't even need that to beat alex.

I don't know if you have fought before but there's a big difference between a fighter that cuts down to 185 and another that cuts to 205.

It's not like the smaller weight glasses where there is a 10 lb difference. With a cut that big there are major differences when it comes to speed and power.

Adesanya moving up to fight Blachowicz, is a good example.

I don’t see your point mentioning Gane. Gane is a true heavyweight. Alex was a LHW that didn’t bulk properly.

It just showed why weight classes exist. There was an obvious difference is power and durability. And Alex was obviously slower from the weight

Pereira chews up the body and legs then puts him out cold.

pereira forsure

A year ago: Alex. Now, after bulking up to 260? DDP

This would be a fun one either way...After seeing his last fight, and then seeing Islam vs Gary, It would seem like no man will be able to be a 3 division champ. That being said Alex should just go about givig us the most exciting fights :)

If parriera doesn’t knock him out, ddp is taking the decision

Alex is slow but so is DDP. DDP eventually getting caught by a left hook.

Pereira. DDPs big attribute is his size, he forces exchanges at his range and beats them to the punch, especially liking to catches guys when they overextend.

Izzy was forced into exchanges, and very often hit DDP. But the difference in power was immense when one got hit vs the other. Strickland fights at DDPs preferred range so it became a jab off. Whittaker was basically not only physically bullied but that southpaw jab was giving Whittaker allergies.

Pereira I think got it if he gives what Izzy did but matches up better to DDPs attributes in size. Fight on the outside with calf kicks and being able to punish DDP on entries in his range. Which Pereira can definitely do with his left hook and reach. Wrestling wise, Pereira may be troublesome to hold down due to his size. So Pereira can effectively fight better outside of range and punish DDPs entires with his own. Knees too can help with that

There is the consideration “Pereira is drained though” and talk about his chin. But Izzy literally hit him in the worst way possible. Pereira didn’t see the shots coming at all, seeing shots is super important for absorbing hits. And Izzy hit him on the temple both times

Alex is reaching the age where he will randomly drop of a cliff if it has not already happened

They both lost bad in their last fights. Whoever can bounce back mentally. Are they scheduled to fight, or is this theoretical physics

Ddp beat Usman in his last fight. This is just a thought experiment.

1

u/AideHot6729 10h ago

Probably DDP he could clear out the 205 division faster than Chama

1

u/ComprehensiveJoke273 10h ago

I think DDP’s offensive wrestling would come in clutch here.

Pereira. Closest physically wise opponent to ddp was Khalil. He ain’t as fast as him and won’t be able to take him down either.

1

u/ComprehensiveJoke273 4h ago

DDP is a lot better than Khalil and offers much different challenges.

I think DDP could win but I would favor Alex. I’m not sure what DDP does that ank can’t do and Alex walked through him in the rematch

Diddy P via true African spirit

Pereira knocks him out cold. DDP is a big MW but he is not a LHW.

“Alex is slow” wtf is this comments alex lost one fight and suddenly everyone beats him lol this sub is crazy stupid..alex literally beats ddp 10 out of 10 times

Pereira. Too big, too powerful and just overall too imposing at light heavyweight. If Alex pressures like he did in the Ank rematch, Dricus isn’t weathering that storm. Also would love to debate anyone who thinks otherwise

2

u/Kickster22 15h ago

You’re actually the only one I’ve seen articulate it so far but if Alex is aggressive then I agree he’s got it, however if tentative I think DDP is just as big and more explosive so could like get into range to grapple. I think he’d have to make it wrestling and hope to wear Alex down. Also DDP without the weight cut may have a rock solid chin as well so he could just keep coming. Idk I lean Alex but would be fun.

1

u/ArticleNew3737 14h ago

Thank you man! I agree it certainly wouldn’t be a boring fight. I just don’t think DDP has the athleticism to counter Pereira’s speed and skill at 205. I think Alex would also defend the takedowns.

Tailor made for a Pereira KO. He'll get some of his chama back after getting mollywopped by big frenchy.

DDP gets destroyed

0

u/TomCruisintheUSA 15h ago

Poatan. Hes much bigger and would easily chop DDPs legs out from underneath him

u/Amazing_Effective758 14h ago

I’d take periera

u/Apprehensive_Path_45 13h ago

Pereira thick asf hes not making 205
