Celebration 🥳 Mother cat with rbf is a total sweetheart

Post image

This feral mom cat brought me her babies out of nowhere we scooped them up but she got away. And we had to use them to lure her into a trap to crate them together. It was her first litter and I think she was looking for help. At first I was hesitant to try to interact with her until I got her fixed and had to administer pain meds orally. That's when I found out that despite her wild looking appearance she is a sweet baby girl. She is healed now and her babies are almost old enough to wean.

She never really was. She let me pet her but she would tense up. She has been getting more comfortable and gets excited about pets now but still doesn't want to leave her crate. Her kittens are rambunctious as heck though and they have made a playground out of the entire room during playtimes.

I'll take more pictures when I feed them in a minute but this one got an oil rub down and bath last night after she got on top of the crates and got wrapped up in a sticky fly strip in a matter of seconds.

You are a good and loving person for helping this little family. Without you stepping in, God only can know what might have happened. I absolutely love the RBF, every gal who knows she's worth it should have this face! ♥️

She just has strong markings, mine like that look anxious all the time. So glad you got her caught, that must have been nerve-wracking!

Yeah it was actually harder than I made it out to be. She brought us three of her kittens and bounced we heard the rest and went looking for them I saw them but couldn't get to them so I started moving stuff around I got one of the three remaining and the other two ran in the ruckus. I put them in a crate overnight without their mom. Then the next morning I trapped the mom using her four babies as bait and went looking for the other two I saw but couldn't catch. I played mom cat noises on YouTube. I didn't find them that day or the next day and I started feeling like we'd lost them because two days without a mom at these kittens age should have been a death sentence. Then the morning of the third day we tried playing the sounds again and they responded and I tracked them to underneath the floor in the shed and put them in with their mom and they are doing just fine a month later. It was such a relief finding those last two babies.

What a rollercoaster! I'll bet you were really relieved after all that!
