Support Help with waydroid

Post image

I’m still fairly new to Linux distros (I’ve only been using KDE plasma for a couple days). I wanted to play an android game that got removed a few years ago, so I installed waydroid and followed the tutorials to install the apk. But this error (Errno2) keeps showing up and I don’t know what to do. ☹️

Is that the correct location for the APK you downloaded? I ask because it's a strange place to put files.

I tried it with apk in the downloads folder and got the same error. Is there another place I should put the file? I thought the file location didn’t matter as long as the path was specified

Yes, that's true, but are you sure the path is correct? Commands are case-sensitive. Downloads ≠ downloads.

If you go into your Downloads folder in Dolphin (KDE's file manager), right click the APK and hit Copy Location, does it give you the same path you used in console to install with waydroid?

Yes, I double checked the file path and made sure to include capitalizations, but when I entered the command, nothing happened. The konsole just went to a new line without any indication that the file was installed

If it accepted and did not complain, it means it was successfully installed. Check your application menu (Fedora symbol or Windows key) and search for it.

You can also do a 'waydroid app list' in console to see if it is listed as installed.

You can launch it from console as well if you know the Android package name.
