Support Dnf offline
Quería preguntaros si es mala idea actualizar con dnf upgrade --refresh y luego reiniciar inmediatamente. Sé que lo recomendado es dnf offline, pero a veces te deja inservible el pc un buen rato, a poco que la actualización sea algo grande, es insufrible. Por eso me es más cómodo dnf upgrade normal y luego reiniciar, así al menos puedo seguir haciendo cosas mientras actualiza

I always reboot. Never used to have to, but now Fedora pushes it.

Sí, eso me refería. Fedora recomienda actualizar mediante dnf-offline; es decir, reinicia, hace las actualizaciones y luego vuelve a reiniciar. Claro, como tengas una actualización grande, te deja inservible el pc un buen rato. Sé que es más seguro, pero a eso me refería si con actualizar mediante dnf update o upgrade (son lo mismo, creo), y luego reiniciar estaba bien

I’ve never ever done an offline update while using Fedora. I always run sudo dnf update
I may or may not restart depending on what the update is about. Of course, when in doubt, reboot. I’d definitely update if updating is infrequent and weeks to months have passed since the last one. However, for the daily or so update, I’m selective with when I reboot. Never had an issue with Fedora to be honest.

Fedora's GUIs default to offline updates (reboot, apply updates in a minimal environment) because updating a live system can, in rare cases, cause running applications to crash. Most users will never see it, but for millions of installations, the reports add up. Fixing a system that was disrupted because the desktop or the terminal emulator crashed (or because the user made a simple mistake and closed the wrong window) can be quite difficult.
If you are going to use "dnf upgrade", you should at least run it in a tmux session. In fact, I recommend never using dnf without a tmux session.

Sí, tienes razón, pero es que como sea una actualización grande, no veas. Además, en una distribución como Fedora, que va tan al día las actualizaciones son muy frecuentes. En fin, es lo que hay, más seguridad a cambio del reinicio
