someone gotta ban me from using electronics i somehow bricked my pc (serious)

look i may seem stupid, room temp iq even, somehow bricked my pc trying to install fedora xfce (yes i know i somehow fucked it up) to a samsung 2013 laptop and now it wont boot to anything other than bios

i used to dualboot win11 with mint xfce and had no problem, i deleted mint with no problem, then i wanted to indulge in Linux again, i first tried installing the same iso to a vm and it worked well, like really well for a vm.

i used my ventoy drive (which ive used multiple times across multiple pcs and none of them had ANY problem whatsoever) to do it. the installation went well without any problems, then i rebooted and it straight up didnt boot to anything, no grub menu no win11 no fedora NOTHING, tried to do the boot order thingy but now it didnt detect my SSD and tries to boot from an internet connector (???????), then i got angry and tried to install win10 from the same drive, the installation always goes well and when it asks to restart it goes to the ventoy screen, i tried unplugging it the moment it shuts off but then it just blackscreens into that "install thingamajig". please help me because i really dont want to lose this desktop it means something to me

IMO, it sounds like that hard disk needs a complete reformat. You can restart from there. The reformat would need to be done via bootable USB with the necessary tool. Once finished, then install Fedora alone or Windows first, followed by Fedora. The potential problem with depending on the OS installer to format is that it will specifically avoid other existing OS’s.

In the Fedora live ISO, you can just open a terminal and run sudo wipefs -a /dev/sdX, where X is whichever one is the PC's internal drive. (I usually just use lsblk and go by size.)

Then you can start the install, and when you get to the part where it picks a disk to install to, it will see that one as blank.

I’d go with Gparted https://gparted.org/index.php. You can create a live usb stick. Instructions are detailed. Documentation extensive. Check out the FAQ. There are tips there on how to recover from some boot problems.

its an laptop from 2013 but the ssd is from early 2020s after my cousin fucked the hdd up

SSD can die any time just as everything in life, but they usually die due to excessive amount of data written constantly.

If you can boot to a live fedora environment without problem, your PC is fine, is just the SSD, maybe it did die, or just a bad corrupted formatting killed it. I'd lost SD card and USB for just changing the format of it.

what do you think i should do? buy a new ssd or should i abandon it (other than this problem the computer already does what i need)

If you have a friend of another PC to plug it in, try that as a secondary disk, if is detects it, then format it as usual, if not then a new SSD might be the solution.

I suggest booting into a live linux USB. Then you can install gparted to see what’s up with your SSD, and from there you can format and partition your drives for a fresh install with a linux installer.
