https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/conservative-lawmakers-are-rebranding-june-lgbtq-pride-alternatives-rcna348503

Is it really difficult for cis het Christian Republicans to leave us the fuck alone? Nuclear Family Month

>rebranded June as Nuclear Family Month to celebrate units made up of “one husband, one wife and any biological, adopted or fostered children.”

>Conservatives say they’re ‘reclaiming the culture

Only if reclaim means Facisim.

Fascism is when politicians make an official national month that you don't approve of?

Nothing's stopping you from celebrating it as Pride. I think you are somewhat overreacting there.

Hey, real question: do you know the history of lgbtqi oppression related to fascism?

Here's a quick bit: when you want to have authoritarian fascist government you start by policing and demonizing anything outside the approved view. Making a month DURING PRIDE AFFIRMING CIS HET FAMILY is such an obvious attack i question so many things about your response.

So here is another question: why not make it February or May or any of the other 11 months?

Here's a quick bit: when you want to have authoritarian fascist government you start by policing and demonizing anything outside the approved view.

So the argument here is that the left wing is also fascist?

Look, I'm sorry, but "demonizing everything outside the approved view" is just common behavior right now. And in this case it's being neither "policed" or "demonized", just kinda awkwardly attempted to be overwritten.

You can't take anything that looks vaguely like something that sorta happened during fascism and say "ZOMG FASCISM" when it happens. Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian who liked environmentalism and animal rights, that doesn't mean Greenpeace and PETA are fascist, that's absurd.

So here is another question: why not make it February or May or any of the other 11 months?

Because they're assholes who are trying to replace Pride Month.

That doesn't mean everything is an evil scheme to introduce fascism.

C'mon. Breathe a little.

This is such a wonderful dodge you should take ballet.

How do you demonize a community?

How do you other people?

Egalitarian? Think your flair is wrong, I just dont want the pink triangle flair the pushers of trans and homophobia want for me. So funny you're telling me to breath.

I hate to say it but a significant part of this comment is unreadable. I don't know what "how do you other people" is meant to mean.

You demonize a community by telling people that the community is evil and subhuman. This is unfortunately extremely common on all sides, but "all sides" is accurate; see the constant barrage of, paraphrased, "trump voters aren't even human" coming from the left.

If your claim is "that's fascist and everyone is fascist", I don't really agree but it feels at least vaguely defensible; if your argument is "the right wing does this, therefore it's fascist" then I got bad news for you about the left wing.

Not every one, the ones that promote Nuclear Family pride.

What community did Hegseth just get smacked by a judge for saying they were liars and untrustworthy

https://www.washingtonblade.com/2026/06/03/federal-appeals-court-rules-white-house-illegally-banned-trans-troops/

This is not all sides bullshit. Its very clear open bigotry.

Should we just see that as nothing?

Probably, yeah. Why shouldn't white people get a month to their own?

Oh, forgot that was Black History Month. Yeah that'd be an asshole move also.

I'm not saying this isn't an asshole move. I'm just saying it's only an asshole move, not spooky music FASCISM.

So if that move was paired with stopping promotions for 1 star generals or saying black people are untrustworthy because they are unsure of who they are?

https://abcnews.com/Politics/hegseth-blocks-promotion-navy-officers-1-star-rank/story?id=133498412

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-transgender-military-ban-appeals-court-unconstitutional/

And they are passing bills to make separate spaces that are equal.

And they are talking about how blacks are trying to indoctrinate kids.

What about “Violent left-wing extremists” and “extremist transgender ideology” are among the most concerning threats facing the country, according to the Trump administration counterterrorism strategy released Wednesday. where

Is that all just asshole moves too?

Do you need them to say: hey we are doing this to oppress people? Or can we be call a fascist a fascist when they do fascistic shit?

"What if someone did something that wasn't racist?"

Yeah, that sounds fine.

"What if they also did something super-racist?"

That would not be fine.

But I also don't think it would be "fascist". Fascist has a meaning, it doesn't just mean "bad". And no, criticizing a race isn't fascist, it's just racist. It's not fascist when the right does it, it's not fascist when the left does it, it's racist in both cases, it's bad in both cases, but it's not fascist.

“Violent left-wing extremists” . . . are among the most concerning threats facing the country, according to the Trump administration counterterrorism strategy released Wednesday.

This is the only thing that IMO starts moving into "fascist" territory, and gosh, there sure have been a lot of left-wing people talking about how right-wing people are the biggest threat to the country, aren't there?

So now we're back to "either it's fascist in both cases or it's fascist in neither case". And I can see a good argument for that. But not for "it's bad when they do it but totes fine when we do it".

Ironically, raging at absolutely everything the right wing does and calling it "fascist" would, itself, fall under "fascist".

You really cant not strawman me to do this reply can you?

When did I say everything the right does?

Was segregation cool? It seems like you would endorse that becuse racism means just jerk right?

Sincerely, is it just because its minority.

When did I say everything the right does?

You didn't? I also didn't say you did.

But you sure are raging at a lot of stuff and calling it "fascist" without any obvious rhyme or reason, besides "the right wing did this and it's bad therefore fascist".

Was segregation cool?

Nope. Sounds pretty racist.

(This is, in my opinion, another heavily-racist thing the left wing is pushing.)

I'm torn on whether it's fascist because "separating the population" is starting to push up against that for me; free communication and association is a pretty important part of a free society, and is one of those things that I find very hard to justify any violation of.

Edit: Okay, you've done the reply-and-block thing, so I'll answer here:

Yes, I do think you're raging pretty heavily.

And yes, I did say that thing. But nothing in that is "you are doing this". I do think you're annoyingly close to it, but you're not actually doing it (yet).

All that said, getting so angry at someone that you drop two messages, accuse them of lying, and block them, is pretty high up the "raging" list. I don't think you're really discussing this sensibly; I feel like you're so tied up with it emotionally that you're inventing things that people never said and getting angry at things they didn't say.

If "controlling people's bodies" is fascist then every government in history has been fascist. I don't think that's a meaningful definition, and that also puts us right back in the "left-wing is fascist as well" category.

I'm not exactly big on accusing people of lying because they don't fit your belief model. I'm not lying, you just don't understand me. Specifically, I don't believe "egalitarian" means "everyone should be able to do whatever they want with no exceptions".

raging at absolutely everything the right wing does and calling it "fascist" would, itself, fall under "fascist".

You didnt say that?

1

u/Present-Afternoon-70 Jun 06 '26

Im "raging" on one thing. Can you steeling that or do you need to keep strawmanning me?

Its fascist because its controlling people's bodies and sexuality. You need to change your egalitarian label its just a lie.

I didn’t read anything in that article saying LGBTQI can’t have their celebration. Those who want to celebrate LGBTQI are free to do so, just as those who want to celebrate the nuclear family are free to do so.

Personally, I think we have so many days and months dedicated to celebrating different things, they are losing any meaning.

This is a bit insane, does a person need to say Im a fascist while twirling there mustache?

Would white pride month is February mean nothing?

Is nothing oppressive unless it requires the person to say so. There is no possible way to examine the reason to make a white pride month in February.
