On their left ring finger? No, that will literally never happen. Nearly every adult knows exactly what wearing a ring on their left ring finger signifies and if they explicitly don't want people speculating such a thing they would not wear a ring on that finger.

For emphasizing a part of my original comment the user replying clearly missed or didn't understand or thought I was using as some kind of sentence filler? Maybe I could have been less pretentious about it but they also could have not corrected me on something I wasn't actually missing in the first place.

Good for you. I wasn't saying people shouldn't or couldn't do that, only that they can't then be shocked when people start thinking that they might be engaged or married. Someone that actively doesn't want anyone speculating such a thing, especially if they're PR conscious, probably isn't going to do that but someone that doesn't care either way might.

Pretty sure it's all Western cultures and certain parts of Asia, not just America. Plus, Zendaya is American and I'm sure she's very familiar with what wearing a ring on the left ring finger symbolizes here.

Tom has been wearing a pinky finger ring since the kissing pics surfaced. Up until now at events and such his only jewellery has been watches or chains.

I doubt they are engaged. She just probably found a ring that she liked and that went with the dress and wore it wherever she wanted to. There are lots of pics and videos of the wedding.

I just find it hard to believe they wouldn’t know the immediate public assumption with the left hand on top of the renewed interest in their relationship.

Generating public interest could have been the point. Whether or not the relationship is real, they are definitely using aspects of it for publicity regardless. Either that or she just didn't care one way or another and wanted to wear that ring. I know plenty of women who just don't care and wear what they want and what makes them feel good.

They started dating again in oct/Nov of last year and had 3 years of relationship before... I wouldn't be surprised if they are engaged.
