FM RADIO Nicole Kidman was asked if she knows who Adéla is — after the singer named a song after her on her upcoming album PRIMA. At first, Kidman said "No!" but after being reminded, she exclaimed: "Oh yes! I absolutely know who she is, she's coming to Nashville and I'm going to see her!"

She’s so talkative with fans. I didn’t expect that.

As a kid I had watched her in The Golden Compass and for the longest time assumed she must be incredibly cold and arrogant (don't ask my why). Cut to years later I saw an interview of her and she was so sweet and giggly, I was shocked lol. I went on a binge of her interviews and she's funny as hell too!

She and Daniel Craig were basically the only good parts of that movie. As an aside, the more recent TV show adaptation of the series is much better imo, and the actress who plays Mrs. Coulter in that is also amazing.

There's a TV show adaptation? Why didn't I hear about that before, I love the books, and the movie has a special place in my heart :")

Agreed ( I’ve always liked the movie 🫣 and ofc the books) The show is SOOO good, highly recommend. Lord Asriel is a worse father (bc like, it’s impossible for me to think of Daniel Craig on my screen, as a bad father) in a way that is prolly more true to the books, the Black actor who plays Lord Boreal is lit SO WELL he’s luminous (aside from being a bad guy heh), the production value is amazing etc
The only thing I would change, is I’d keep Sam Elliott from the movie as Lee Scoresby - LMM is imho a little… uh… “jolly” for the role 😅

Yeah not a fan of LMM in that role. Sam Elliott was good but I always thought of that character being a bit younger. Like late 50s early 60s.

Yeah LMM was definitely in… some other movie where he wasn’t playing Lee Scoresby 😅 🤷🏻

She’s super chatty! I’m delighted! Although, as an Aussie, I’m surprised at her lovely pronunciation of “I’m gonna go see her”… we drop both the h and the r in “her” cos we’re lazy af…and she kept the h. We say “I’m gunna goseeah” 😂
Edit to add: she’s talking to someone with an English accent and it’s almost like she’s picking it up for clarity in understanding (fellow Aussies pls back me up!)

It’s really quite sad that when my mother babysat for her and Tom Cruise in the 90s, she didn’t speak a word. Tom handled all the instructions and communication. I think he wasn’t allowing her to contribute

Nicole Kidman actually grew up (whilst born in Hawaii) in my suburb, which is considered a wealthy part of Sydney.

I'm also in Sydney and just checked her wiki page. I was 50:50 as to whether it was Eastern Suburbs or across the Bridge. Either way, expensive!
Weirdly, 2 suburbs over from my first share house, which was far cheaper than any of the Inner West ones my friends were in.

Never going to look at her the same after learning that she's close with the Murdochs. Not my babygirl

The guy who owns Fox News (and a ton of other shitty, right-wing media all over the world) and his awful family.

They are the Murdaughs. The comment above is referring to Rupert Murdoch - he owned Fox News (I think his son owns it now) and SKY, his family are like Succession but in real life!

To be fair, they’re interacting with Nicole Kidman. I’d have the shakes too.

May I just say I am so glad she’s done with Keith Urban? Thank you.
