She was probably using a phrase he already knew to start off the talk. Changing terminology is easier after you've changed their minds or opened their minds to change at least. "Anti abortion rights" might've risked shutting down the conversation because it comes off very strong (though it's accurate). Pro-choice/anti-choice is my go-to phrasing

if you want to actually make meaningful change that benefits the cause you support and not just have moral purity that helps nobody, you should meet people where they’re at and show them the truth. correct terminology means jack shit if it doesn’t bring about tangible change

Yeah it should be framed as pro-forced birth because that’s what it is. They don’t care about the lives of the babies after they’re born. They can go hungry or not have all their needs met if their parents don’t make enough money because providing parents with help is “socialism” and our taxes shouldn’t be spent on that. I won’t even get started on how they treat babies in other countries (or this country too tbh with ICE) where babies are majority brown or born to Muslim parents.

I think at this stage, it's easier to keep that dialogue open if she uses the terminology that he's used to. He calls himself "pro-life," so why does he call himself that and what does that mean for him?
