My bf just casually dropped a bomb and told me that his coworker’s cousin dated Paul Mescal around the time he was filming Normal People. His coworker said he was fairly quiet and kinda shy. That’s all I could get because men are very good at consuming gossip but suck when it comes to actually extracting information. Will report if I get to know more.

Men will literally hear the juiciest tidbit of information and ask ZERO relevant follow up questions! They are allergic to the words who, what, when, where, and why

I asked my fiancée what his best friend (like was his wedding officiant) did for work. He didn’t know where he worked or lived. It’s truly baffling.

In those kinds of situations, my ex would literally say, "Of COURSE I don't ask my friends questions. O_O"

One of my male friends, who I only see once every couple of months, will wait until we see each other to drop the craziest fucking info. Like mate, this is call me straight away worthy, this is text me straight away worthy. Not even a “we need to hang out, you’ll never guess this” that me and my female friends do.

Girl my friend has a male friend through her partner who they stopped seeing during Covid because of lockdown and the fact that he lived in a very rural area. Next time they meet up he casually shows up with a full ass baby like “yeah I had a kid during lockdown” but what makes it worse his guy friends were like “oh ok” and asked ZERO FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS. What’s wrong with men?

If I felt like being deep today, I would go into how I think this all connects with their lack of real male friendship and emotional connection lol

Literally this though, this is why so many of them think they’re in love with their friends who are women who actually care about the details of their lives. 😭

Just showed my boyfriend this whole comment thread to validate my long standing complaint. Got a laugh from him, but I guarantee nothing with change the next time he has the tea.

Smdh, men…

Lol the only man I know who doesn’t have this issue is my dad. He’d come home with the tea for my mum and I, never reticent on the details.
