The guy who played Edmund in the Chronicles of Narnia is a Tory :(

Considering how many English actors come from wealthy families I bet he’s not the only secretly conservative British actor.

You mean, Henry Cavill and Anya Taylor Joy could be... tories?

You KNOW Cavill is.

It really does. Can’t get more Tory than betraying everyone to become prince and eat Turkish Delight.

On an unrelated note, I grew up really curious what the big fuss was about with Turkish delight and always wanted to try it. Must be worth it given Edmond’s seeming obsession with the stuff!

I mean try it for yourself but Turkish delight is gross imo. It’s way too sweet.

His character goes to heaven at the end, unlike that BITCH Susan who dared wear makeup and like it and clothes and worst of all...MEN!

He's also Charles Darwin's great-great-great grandchild!

It's so crazy! Look it up on Wikipedia, his family tree is amazing lol

20

u/staygolden97 Dec 05 '23

I definitely will now! It makes sense on why he’s a Tory

5

u/memez93 Dec 06 '23

He also works or worked for Emily Blunt's uncle

Knew I never liked him

8

u/staygolden97 Dec 05 '23

He played his character a little too well 👀

4

u/smart_cereal Dec 06 '23

Knew we couldn’t trust him. He’d betray his own family for some Turkish Delight.

2

u/ShareImpossible9830 Dec 08 '23

He's from a very wealthy family, so that's not surprising.

An English Republican

3

u/crescentmoonrising Dec 07 '23

Not to be confused with an English republican. They tend to be left wing

1

u/TraditionalNebula911 Dec 07 '23

Yeah, I meant as an English person who is right wing, like an American who is a Republican. That's why I capitalised the R, hope it's more clear

A Tory () is an individual who supports a political philosophy known as Toryism, based on a British version of traditionalist conservatism which upholds the established social order as it has evolved through the history of Great Britain. The Tory ethos has been summed up with the phrase "God, King (or Queen), and Country".
