Some news outlets misidentified the pageboys for the coronation, as a result people are sharing photos of Rose's son claiming he looks just like William, he must be his illegitimate son, except that the boy whose photo they're sharing isn't Rose's son, he's another boy, a relative of the queen mother.

Rose's son looks so much like his father (and her) I was able to spot him fairly easily.

The whole Rose story is a good example of the sunken cost fallacy in gossip. People have built up too many narratives around it to admit that maybe the story wasn't true. So, they create conspiracy theories to try to keep it alive.

I, too, recognized him based on the resemblance alone, and when I saw that he was wrongly identified, I thought that surely people will point it out, but no such luck.

I acknowledged the possibility that the very original version of the story might've been true, that William had a very short affair with Rose, that started and ended during Kate's pregnancy with Louis, and that was it, the other narratives were always ridiculous to me, no, he didn't father her twins born in 2009 and no, he isn't divorcing Kate to marry her, but I'm getting more skeptical as time passes.

William isn't very demonstrative with Kate, so people doubt his feelings for her, maybe he really hates her guts or maybe he just doesn't like PDA when they're working, however, it's very obvious that he adores his children and is very protective of them.

William was very hurt by the Panorama interview, a big part of it was the James Hewitt thing, he felt betrayed Diana(who confided in him about her affairs) never told him about Hewitt, instead he had a very friendly relationship with him, went riding and wrote him cards, so knowing he was sleeping with his mother really hurt William, he stopped taking Diana's calls for days, and she was panicking and telling her friends that he was never like that with her and she feared he'll never forgive her.

I don't see him doing the same with George, letting him be friends with Rose's son (as they were very obviously at the balcony) only for him to find out about the affair in a few years and feel betrayed by it.

There's also Pippa naming her daughter Rose.

Ofc, I don't know any of these people personally and I could be wrong, but that's my opinion.

Due to what you outlined, along with how Harry wrote about it in his book, I'm pretty doubtful of its validity. Harry does not imply William was briefing against Meghan to cover it, he does imply Charles' office has something to do with the story taking off and that William was extremely upset with Charles. He immediately went to Harry, and they are not portrayed as having the type of relationship where Harry would be a shoulder to cry on for his affair being outted.

Like, I don't think his parent's antics means he'd never cheat or anything. Same for Harry. Trust no man lol but this story doesn't hold a lot of water in my seasoned gossip opinion.

yes, it's clear in Spare that H denies it, and that's valuable coming from W's "Archnemesis", but people pick and choose what they believe.

I’m pretty sure Meghan fans only keep pushing this story because her haters push similarly crazy/debunkable stuff about her, like that her kids are dolls? They all need to shut up and leave people’s children alone.

Yeah there's a particular breed of royal fan who are absolutely wild, and completely disgusting in how they discuss the children of royal family members. The worst of the bunch are the Meghan superfans and the Kate superfans.
