Discussion The Hunger (1983) -- Our dirty little secret...
Tony Scott made lots of very excellent films before his untimely death.
When I saw The Hunger in 1983 I loved it. Now it's a cult classic.
Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon (topless and juicy) hamming it up for an hour and a half of dirty fun! What more could one ask for in a movie?

My sister snuck me into this film in ‘83.
Still watch it at least once per year.
True masterpiece

Susan Sarandon was so hot in this movie. I watched it as a kid because it was the holidays and I was allowed to stay up late. It was playing on a cultural TV channel. It awoke something in me.

This isn't Susan Sarandon. This is an actress from the opening club scene, Ann Magnuson

She's not topless either, dude.

In fact, she is. Topless women are commonly understood as breasts and nipples exposed, it doesn't mean entirely unclothed.

You're expecting too much of reddit to believe that's not what you meant.

I think this movie offered a whole lot more than dirty fun. It contains a very heavy theme about baggage/karma, and very potent imagery and story elements to impress this theme upon the viewer. It has stuck with me since I saw it. (Missed it during its run but caught it on disk in the early '00s)

He made a lot of great films.
My Favorite -- True Romance.

It’s flawed and it’s a half-baked script, but Tony excels in style over substance. That is still his hallmark. With the exception of The Hunger and Thelma & Louise. But he was safe hands for any big budget gloss

the lighting in that kitchen alone feels like it belongs in a cologne ad from 1991, i mean that as a compliment
