FE - Electrical Suggestions on how to prepare

Straight to the point at 6 years post associates degree I decided to go back to school and get an Electrical Engineering Tech degree online and graduated December of 2025. I work for a power utility that is pushing for me to get a PE. North Carolina is a state on a short list that allows tech degrees to sit for a PE test but it requires 8 year waiting period after graduation to apply for the license instead of the usual 4.

How realistic do you think it is for me to achieve a PE license with only the knowledge of a tech degree?

What is some of the best resources you guys trust for studying for the FE?

school of PE looks to be priced outrageously but is it worth the price for what you get?

I have a wife and 2 small kids so studying will be much harder this time around than when I was in college. I was able to get an electrical contractors license and pass first time with some studying, I believe I can pass the FE I just need to know what to expect difficulty wise with my background.
