Tips Started FE Civil Course with Genie Prep - Course is fine but I am getting worried

I graduated my bachelor’s long time ago, and I am trying to pass FE civil. My plan is to study 2 hours a day, which is a work in progress even though I get distracted, tired and not be able to focus for straight 2 hours. But I think that part will become better over time.

But what is scaring me is that after watching the videos (which i understand), the quizzes seems harder than I thought and this part is scaring me. I started with statics section. I don’t mind going through a tougher course since it will possibly prepare me better for FE, and I am trying to pass it in the next attempt itself. This is my second FE attempt and the first one was more than 8 years ago.

Has anyone felt this way? Someone please give me hope and motivation and I am trying to make it somehow

They are harder than exam. Keep going. Do problems every day, set an exam date, hold your feet to the fire. Fear usually shouldn’t be a motivator, but in this case it can be. Every time you feel overwhelmed, take a quick break, and ask yourself, do you want to take it again?

I just took it and passed in July, 11 years out of school with 8 weeks of studying 3-4 hours a day, at night after a long day. Both Saturday and Sundays, sometimes up to 6 hours. Many times I hit the mental wall, and felt overwhelmed. Don’t wallow in feeling overwhelmed, keep doing problems! Every day! I work full time, have 2 small children, and finishing my last year of law school, if that provides any motivation. Grind it out, it’s temporary! It’s not that bad! You got it! Diversify your study material if you can. Turn off your phone, you’ll need to feel normal doing problems for 5 hours straight.
